P.F. Chang's — Restaurant in Chandler

My entire life I have wanted to go to PF Changs. I'm 30 years old and I am finally going to PF Changs! What a wonderous occasion I'm thinking. The entire week before going, I scouted the menu for all the things I want to try. I'm sad that I must write about this disheartening experience.

We arrive and are sat immediately for lunch, not too busy. We sat at the table and admired the structure and cool decor. Though, 8 minutes had passed and we still had not been greeted by our waitress. Upon her greeting, I could feel the offputting energy full of attitude. This is someone who could care less about my experience here. I do not think she smiled one time during the experience.

We order alcoholic beverages and appetizers. We get our drinks and only then do I realize...it is happy hour! I sure wish my waitress gave me that knowledge. We ordered the crab cheese wontons and pork egg rolls. The wontons arrive and we are so excited. We take a bite. The wonton is cold and there is absolutely no cheese in there. I cannot believe I paid 15 bucks for that. The egg rolls were much better, we felt that the price was sufficient for those. At no point during this meal did we complain, mostly because our waitress never checked on us, and her attitude just took over the entire ambiance.

We order the dinner size portions of the beef and broccoli and the sesame chicken. The steamed rice comes out cold and extremely dry. I honestly could not believe it. The food was cold. Everything was cold..I could not understand why everything is cold..shouldn't it be steaming hot and fresh? Is the lunch food just leftovers from the night before? My husband and I knew this would be 100+ dollars so we tried to convince each other it wasn't that bad. We ate maybe half of it. Very dissatisfied.

Again, our waitress barely notices us. She could not care less that we are there. She could not care less about our experience. Like I said before, I had scouted the menu, I knew I wanted that chocolate cake. However, the food and service were such a let down ..I thought "should i even get dessert?" Well the waitress stops by to drop the check and she says "just pay on your phone" and walks away. While paying she goes "yeah next time get dessert." She probably should have asked if I was interested before paying? I am glad I didn't get it. What a let down.

After 30 years of waiting for this experience... I can say the service and the food were no better than Panda Express. I actually have had better experiences at Panda Express. The bill came to 100 dollars even, plus the 20 dollar tip. We still tipped 20% even though the experience was absolutely terrible. I will never be eating at PF...

My husband myself and our daughter went in on May 10th 2024 to get a meal for our anniversary so we were seated waited in promptly and ordered our meals food came out pretty quick but was very little in bowls no plate a few noodles mine was orange chicken and so spicy I drank a whole glass of water down in the first few bites and my husband's had very little chicken or noodles in his bowl and my daughter had very little chicken or noodles in their bowls he got sesame chicken and our daughter got honey chicken they were no more than 3 tv dinners that had been microwaved and we had one soda and 2 waters with Lemon and nothing else at all no bread as I asked if anything came with the meal and they said no but yet there was extra plates in the table for what reason if you only have a bowl and again tv dinner sized and spicy at that when spicy was not ordered it was over 50.00 I couldn't believe it for that we left hungry and had a ruined Anniversary meal that we didn't even want to eat the food at all no waiter came back to check on us at all either only to give us our check and it was not busy as now we know why we went on a weekday and no one was in there hardly we go home after a few other events for our Anniversary and I call up the manager her name was Mayron or something of the sort hard to pronounce her name and I am very calm and collected explain the situation it was our Anniversary we got small portions and not checked on from the waiter and she apologized no problem and said she didn't want our Anniversary to be ruined so she stated she would send me out a gift card to come back and try them again and I said ok yes we will come back and try again she took my name address phone no and said she would mail me a gift card the next day on May 11th no problem and I said Thank you very much so I waited until like 4 to 5 days later and nothing came so I called her up again very calm and said I didn't receive my gift card could I come by and pick it up and she said no I mailed it on Sat and I said well it never came and she said well I don't know what to tell you and I said again could I come by and pick it up or order a meal in person again since the gift card never arrived again she wouldn't do it and it is now June 25th 2024 and no gift card ever came and she was very umm yeah well very hesitant I sadly think she just lied about sending me the gift card I feel very uncomfortable about going back to eat there now just thought I would...

Where do I begin. This will be part one of two reviews, as our first server Tatum and the amazing food were the real reasons we literally came back to dine in again the next night.

Tatum is so chill, down to earth but really kind all at the same time. I was on my duties so hubby was left to order, he said that he was hesitant but Tatum reassured him that what he was ordering was going to be delicious (Mongolian Beef!). And that it was!! Funny story, asked hubby if he tried different sides and he just said “No. I just got white rice….” It was fine, but let me tell you, after trying my daughter’s food (kids chx fried rice), goodness I had wished we got fried rice as a side over white. Then, Tatum came over with probably the best news (but probably unfortunate to others), they were out of white rice at the moment. So…. (: that meant we got to order fried rice and noodles!! Ahhh. I was so stoked!! The food came out and it was more delicious than I’d anticipated. Truly!! And I honestly believe it’s all because of the service we received from Tatum. WAIT it gets better, DESERT! Oh my word, I don’t even remember what hubby got because I was absolutely in a trance by my drool worthy, Banana Fried Rolls with Coconut Pineapple Ice Cream! Enough said! That was absolutely DEVINE!! Oh and if you’re there, skip the small size, YOU MUST DO THE FULL SIZE!!

I can’t say enough, Tatum was awesome! And we loved our first dining experience EVER, at a P.F. Chang’s. Little did Tatum know we already decided on our way out, that we were coming back the next night! 😆🙌🏼

But then she did know because WE GOT TO SEE HER! ♥️

Side note, almost picked a bone with hubby about just going to chipotle instead….glad he shut me down!! 😂

Fast forward to today (Sunday April 7th, 2024) So I didn’t know you couldn’t do more than one review, or maybe I can…anyway, I’m just going to continue on from this one. 😃

Kaylee!! My goodness where do I start? She was so unbelievably sweet and kind and attentive. Not just to make sure we were doing alright, or that the food tasted good and that we had topped off drinks. But to genuinely check up on us and to have a conversation. We had Tatum pop in also when she was able too. We were able to try their lettuce wraps (AMAZING!) thanks to Kaylee and the kitchen staff. Also, not only did we have an amazing time, but we ended our meal with a sweet sweet treat gifted to us by the sweetest...
