WHAT NO!
I'M DONE
We stopped for lunch today and when we arrived were seated promptly inside. It was a bit busy and our waiter Oscar came over after 3-4 minutes.
I ordered the chicken and waffles, it came with Green Chile sauce over the chicken. The chicken was a large breast deep fried golden brown served over 4 sections of waffles. It was accompanied by syrup and pecan butter.
The chicken had been dipped in a thick batter that tasted great especially with the green chile sauce and was cooked crispy.
The chicken was very tender but the batter flaked away from the chicken and I had to scoop the chicken and breading to get both at the same time, but was still very good.
Now the waffles were not what I expected to get, I was looking for nice crispy waffles but when served they were luke warm and soggy. The flavor was good with hints of cinnamon and brown sugar and with the pecan butter and syrup tasted real nice.
We had to try the house Bloody Mary with bacon infused vodka. It was served with a scallion lime and some really large Olives. We were looking for bacon but the only bacon we got was in the vodka. The glass was rimed with tajin that added a nice kick.
My Bloody Mary had a dark color and rich smokey flavor that I was not expecting but all the flavor's worked great together.
As for COVID:
We watched as the boys quickly cleared the tables of other quests. They did wipe down the tables but not the chairs and the front and back of the guest cheques holder but not the inside.
However we watched and they did not wipe down the salt and pepper shakers after use nor did they wipe down the sugar and sweetner holders.
Over all I give them 5 stars for the food drinks...
Read moreI first visited this location a few months ago with my partner and it was SO good. We had such a sweet waitress and the food was fantastic. Fast forward to 4/1/23, my family came into town from California for my white coat ceremony and I wanted to take them here. Not that it will affect their business, but the experience was so horrible, I don't think I will go ever again. We went around 10pm for a late dinner and there was 9 of us. I called beforehand so I assumed this was fine. The waiter was a redhead male and he was passively rude right off the back. We asked to split checks in the beginning, he stated "SURE BUT AS SOON AS WE START PLAYING MUSICAL CHAIRS, IT GOES DOWN TO ONE CHECK." He stated this about 4 times to us which I found rude because why would we be switching seats..? When he brought us waters, he also sort of tossed them in front of us. The table did not have enough space/arm space at all so my partner knocked over a cup of water on accident. The waiter ignored helping us and kept taking orders until I asked him if we could have napkins. He tossed them on the table and let us clean it up. Because we knew they closed at midnight, we let him know we were ready to order appetizers and dinner entrees at once. He replied "NOPE WE ARE DOING APPETIZERS AND ILL DO DINNER LATER". No eye contact and very loudly so you could hear throughout the restaurant. Only 4/9 of us "liked" our food. The medium well burgers all had layers of charr on them that I would almost consider them burnt. My cheesesteak bread was hard. The food lacked seasoning. I could not believe this was the place I had once had amazing food at. Towards the end, many of my family members were over the waiter and the experience and no one wanted to tip. We paid and it was very obvious the waiter went over to another table where two women (one was a coworker) were sitting and told them about the tipping situation. The two girls tried to sneak looks at us as he was talking to them so it was VERY obvious. He also went over to a group of other waiters and showed them to which they all also looked. I would chop this down to a case of racism/discrimination. My family is very mixed, some with darker skin, and the moment we were sat, we felt the passive attitude and carelessness from the waiter to make it a great experience for us. Meanwhile, he was was taking his time with other tables and even laughing and smiling. We received 0 smiles and eye contact. I hope no one else experiences...
Read moreFirst time here yesterday, ordered a whiskey bourbon steak sandwich and a lime mojito, first drink was just fine finished it in short time and didn’t see the waitress again until she brought my food, I asked her if she could make another one a little sweeter this time what I got after another long wait was what I can only describe as dishwater mixed with milk and sour apples, not a mojito there was zero alcohol in it and I still don’t know what it was…The sandwich wasn’t very good it had no seasoning no character tasted like something you’d get at a hospital or a convalescent home, the bourbon sauce consisted of a flour gravy with a splash of bourbon absolutely no imagination almost felt like something a child would make their parent as a surprise. Even the bread was boring, I could have got a Philly cheesesteak at Jersey Mike’s that would have tasted WAY better. The only good thing about the meal was the onion rings they were excellent! I brought the drink to the waitress as I didn’t want to wait forever again and asked her what I was drinking, she offered to remake it or take it off I choose the latter, when she came back to the table again I mentioned how unimpressed I was with the food all round and she wasn’t concerned and from start to finish she was SUPER FAKE and couldn’t care less. I asked her again what was in the drink because I honestly felt like it was intentional to serve me something like that because when I told her I was riding my motorcycle and having a drink she made a snide comment about it and not in a playful way, I even asked her in a friendly tone if the bartender was drunk and she had some sort of emotional break and her face started twitching, very creepy TBH, to top off the whole thing there was a table on the patio adjacent to mine with nothing but employees eating and interchanging with other workers eating in uniform like it was a social club, I feel like the kids were throwing a house party while the parents were away. I will never eat there again and it’s too bad specially since they have a great patio area, btw the male staff there was excellent including the young men at the front of the restaurant, the girls…don’t get me started because this was such an ongoing miserable experience that I know I’ve forgot to mention half the stuff that went down. I can’t see this place staying in business long. Terrible waitress just terrible. I won’t mention names, but she should find...
