Tikka Shack Indian Grub — Restaurant in Chandler

I just discovered this place about a week ago and am back now for my second round already. Pretty sure this is going to be high on my regular rotation!

The first time I was here, the owner (Kinja was it??) She was so welcoming and helpful in helping me learn about some things I didn't know and we actually had a really lovely chat. She even looked over a recipe I have for an Indian dish, to help me know if it is authentic, which it mostly was... but she also gave me a couple pointers to make it even better. (It was later in the evening when it wasn't busy, so I wouldn't expect to be able to chat too much normally.)

Anyway!! My food was absolutely luscious!! Those Masala fries are ridiculously amazing. I had them with paneer added.

I've been dreaming about this place all week and when another plan I had this evening fell through, I was like noooo worries... and just headed right on over to Tikka Shack!

Oh! I also had some chicken biryani, which was also incredible. I love biryani, so it will be hard to make myself try other things... but I don't think you could go wrong here.

SO GOOD!!!! I would give 10 stars...

Okay, so I finally tried Tikka Shack after hearing people rave about it—and yeah, it delivered.

I went straight for the Chicken Tikka Masala because… how can you not? The chicken was super tender, grilled just right, and the sauce? Creamy, buttery, and ridiculously good. I legit caught myself scooping it up with my naan like it was soup. No shame.

Then came the Biryani—and I’m happy to report it was flavorful and satisfying. It’s not like the ultra-traditional, layered, hours-of-prep kind you’d get at a formal Indian spot, but for a quick bite? It’s pretty legit. The spices were on point, and the chicken was juicy. I’d totally order it again (especially with some raita to cool things down).

The vibe is chill, the service is fast, and you can customize your spice level (pro tip: medium is safe, spicy if you’re feeling bold). It’s basically Indian comfort food without the wait. The garlic naan…omg. Fire. Dang I want...

Tikka Shack never disappoints, but this visit was truly exceptional thanks to our amazing server, Zoe. From the moment we walked in, Zoe made us feel genuinely welcome and cared for. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, offered great recommendations, and checked in just the right amount to make sure everything was perfect.

The food, as always, was bursting with authentic flavor – the spinach curry was rich and perfectly spiced, and the garlic naan was warm and fresh. Everything arrived promptly and beautifully presented.

But Zoe is what made this visit memorable. Her warm personality, professionalism, and attention to detail took the experience to the next level. Tikka Shack is lucky to have her – and we’ll definitely be asking for her next time we visit!
