First time eating here, because of a T-Mobile Tuesday offer (free medium sub w/ purchase). Ordered 2 subs--a lg NY Steamer & med Firehouse Hero (fully loaded) to get the most out of the experience (as opposed to just ordering a drink). Great amount of deli meat (more than Subway, etc), high quality flavors, & both subs were tasty w/ different profiles. But (even with the deal) the price point is really up there. $13 for a [premium] foot-long (not the worst, but pricey). Nearly $9 for the medium (8 inches), however, would be too expensive if not for this deal. In short, the food is great, better quality meats than competitors (Subway, Jimmy John's, not sure about Jersey Mike's), & the hot subs are great--but the price is a bit high for "working class". And you essentially have to order the foot-long to make it worth it, meaning you won't leave without paying at least $12 plus tax, regardless of sandwich choice. Perhaps if there is a rewards program for an app they can compete with Subway, but consistently getting coupons for $6 footlongs (including premium subs) makes up for the inferior food quality to me (you can literally get twice as much for same price). If Firehouse were more competitive, I would convert completely. And to be fair, I didn't get any of their sides (chili, mac n cheese) that Subway does NOT offer, so there's that. Also if the real comparison for this restaurant is Jersey Mike's or a similarly higher quality chain (rather than Subway, as I have somewhat unfairly done), then the taste to price value would be higher. I just personally frequent Subway more than J Mike's bc of $ (tho u can't argue with Boar's Head). So when I choose to eat out price/value is always 1st in mind, especially with so many options available. I would definitely go back to Firehouse, but it would more likely be when "forced" to, i.e. limited options when on work lunch/on the road, or out w/ a friend who really wants to go there & I agree (or, as I said, w/ a coupon/app offer I'd go more myself). Lastly, it's good that they donate a % of sales to their namesake profession. Just not enough to make me a complete convert. If you have the $, however, there'd be no need to ever order from Subway/Jimmy John's again bc the food here is clearly...
Read moreI usually don’t leave bad reviews, but I couldn’t not share my experience here. For the second time, I accidentally ordered from this location due to confusion with another San Tan location.- I just moved to Az- While I understand mistakes happen, the way this situation was handled was unacceptable. On 11/24 around 12:20 PM, I realized immediately after placing my order that it was sent to the wrong location (Chandler instead of Gilbert). I called right away, but when someone finally answered, it was just background noise, so I hung up and tried again. The line was busy. After waiting a few minutes and calling back, a man finally answered the phone. Unfortunately, he was extremely rude and didn’t even let me explain the situation. I understood that it might be too late to cancel, but he didn’t offer any options or a refund and hung up on me. I called back twice with no answer, and when I finally got through again, he greeted me with a curt “HELLO” (not professional at all). When I tried to explain further, he interrupted me, saying there was nothing he could do and that the order was already made. Before I could mention sending someone to pick it up, he said, “Well, I can refund you or you should’ve come and gotten your order,” and then hung up again. I spent my hard-earned money here, and I expected to at least be treated with basic courtesy. I wasn’t rude or unreasonable, but this experience made me feel dismissed and disrespected. It’s not just about the order—it’s about the principle of treating customers with kindness and understanding. Based on other reviews, it seems this location has ongoing issues, which is disappointing because I usually love Firehouse Subs. I hope they take this feedback seriously and work on improving their...
Read moreOn 10/12 at 2:30 PM, I hope my order will be correct. This will be the third time in a row that something has been missing. I’ve only ordered here three times before, and they always leave out the spear pickle that is clearly indicated in the app. I ordered a few bags of chips but only received one. They don’t include the drinks, making it easy to forget items when ordering or picking up for someone else.
If you want us to fill the drinks ourselves for pickup orders, I don’t mind, but at least provide the cups instead of assuming we know what to grab. This is one of those places where you have to open your order and check that everything you expect is included. So far, I’ve experienced missing items with every order, and I generally only order for myself.
Aug 2: Yet again open my bag pulled up in every sandwich not a single pickle spear. I asked, and the employees looked at me perplexed like I was asking for free stuff or something when it says it in huge letters under each sandwich on the receipt and the online order.
Was about to order online for me and my family and then I remember that you guys always miss everything I order on pickup so of course you'll miss this on delivery too. So I guess Jersey Mike's it is.. they never ever mess...
