Oh man the Habit. I had a car appt at the dealer to fix some cruise control lights. I was there for a while, at one point I thought my car was ready, as I could see it ready from the waiting room. Excitedly as someone who hadn't eaten for 10+ hours due to work and other business, I ordered food from Chantilly Habit. Soon after ordering I realized that the car I saw was not mine. Discouraged, I asked my sister to go pick up my burger from Habit. She goes to Ashburn. She presses the "curbside I'm here" button and 15 minutes later Chantilly calls me because I was not in fact there. She calls me confused. Ashburn habit makes a compensatory meal. I tell my sister that the right one is at Chantilly. She gives up and I let her keep the Ashburn food for trying. 1.5 hours later I have my car back and I pull up to Chantilly to get the right food and these people are God's gift to humanity. At this point it had been nearly 12 hours since I had eaten breakfast and I was beyond hunger. There was no lingering stomach pain. They knew that none of this was their fault and that it was on the latter part of the shift and that they would get virtually no recognition for this, but they offered -OFFERED, I did not even ask- to make me another fresh meal because the original had been sitting for a while. God bless Chantilly Habit. They made a long day into a delicious dinner with a good story. Shoutout to the manager tonight too, he was amazing. Excellent customer service. I like this place as much as 5 guys now which is...
Read moreI recently visited The Habit Burger and was pretty shocked by their ordering process. First, they seem to heavily push customers to use their kiosks, rather than interacting with an actual employee. Now, I don’t know about you, but I go to a restaurant for the food and the service — not to feel like I’m doing someone else’s job. And speaking of jobs, these kiosks are clearly replacing workers. It feels like they’re more focused on automating everything than employing people, which leaves a bad taste in my mouth before I even get my food.
But here’s the kicker: when you use the kiosk, you’re required to provide your cell phone number to complete your order. Why should I have to hand over my personal information just to get a burger? It’s a major privacy concern. What are they doing with all these phone numbers? I shouldn’t have to give up my privacy just because they want to save a few bucks by cutting down on staff.
And then — this is rich — after you go through the trouble of placing your own order, the kiosk has the nerve to ask for a tip! Seriously? I’m the one doing all the work, but I’m supposed to tip for… what exactly? It’s laughable and frankly insulting.
Habit Burger, you’ve got some seriously misguided policies here. Fix your privacy issues, stop asking for tips when people are ordering their own food, and maybe focus on customer service instead of forcing everyone to...
Read moreI am a regular and my past experience was not the best. I try to reserve my low rating reviews but it’s unfortunate that I will not be coming back to this location. I placed an order through their website and when I got there, the lady at the counter asked if I had an UberEats order. I replied with a No and stated my name and said I placed an order through your website. After a bit of an exchange she finally understood my order and name. Anyways, the low rating for service is not for the kind lady but another older lady who seemed African and maybe also the manager but she was rude. She seemed angry to begin with. No training in basic customer service. No greeting. I’m just standing there waiting for my order but she out of no where comes and intervenes to find out what’s going on as if I’m causing trouble with her employees. Lady, I’m just trying to explain I have a pickup and placed an order on your website. Call it her attitude or she was power tripping but she needs to be trained on her basic service skills. I know everyone has their bad days but show some inviting expression and kindness to your customers lady. Nothing more we ask. Also, after I got home, I checked my bad and the little amount of fries I got was ridiculous. I ordered half and half and the portion size seemed I got only half....
