Milwaukee Frozen Custard — Restaurant in Virginia

Trapped in the 80's, this place has retained none of the charm and is simply just old. It's clearly not well maintained with the décor being old but not intentional, just never having been updated. This makes the location quite unwelcoming and sullen.

The menu and operation of this place is confusing and I wouldn't be surprised people were simply turned away because of that. Unless you've been here before, you have no idea how it works. Apparently you have vanilla and chocolate only, with a special flavor of the day. There is no mention of this and all the menu items just build on top of that. The girl behind the counter was completely unhelpful and never offered any clarification or help while we stood very confused.

How this place stays in business...

This place is home to what I like to call the Milwaukee Frozen Custard Incident of 2016. Someone I love and adore and I went to this place in the middle of winter. There were 10 people here at the time which is a great sign. Said person said they just wanted a bite. Knowing what that meant, I went from ordering a small to ordering a large. Needless to say I watched the love of my life eat the majority of the delicious chocolate custard we ordered. If that's not an endorsement enough I don't know what is. I love this place and I have been back many times. We just make separate orders now.

"Walky Feet" (local nickname) is a great local chain. Been coming here for a decade, maybe two. Delicious custard. Especially like the chocolate and the nut flavors. Not a fan of the birthday cake/cheesecake frequency; would love these to be mixed up more. Would also love to see some new flavors: ube, red bean, black sesame. And more peanut butter combos 😉

Shakes are a bit small for the price but tasty. Good-sized helpings otherwise.
