We just moved to this area and have been looking for a good go-to buffet. This was our second visit here and I wasn't impressed. The selection was decent on the"hot" buffet but the temperature and quality inconsistent. The taste was fair to mediocre, somewhat bland or very sweet with heavy amounts of sauces. It was as if they were trying to mask the flavor of the ingredients, which worried me. The cold bar was not great. It was messy and the selection was not as good as the first time. We chose to go here because I wanted pineapple, melon and strawberries, which they had previously. This time, they had sub par honeydew (a bit slimy) and bananas covered with strawberry goop. I have nothing nice to say about the "salad" section either. You may not go to a buffet for salad and fruit but I don't eat dinner without it. This experience was irritating because the first visit was quite nice and tasty. I may try it out again but I'm not going to go out of my way to eat here. If anything changes, I'll let you know. In the meantime, I will keep looking and I suggest you do the same. I will note that I prefer spicy, fresh natural food to sweet, processed or fried food in my dinner choices. When I go to a Chinese restaurant, I want to taste the fresh veggies and meats, seafood, garlic, ginger, chilies, sesame, soy, etc. I do not want to taste...
Read moreChina Buffet is always delicious! My daughter got the squid fries as I was calling them. Then my son was like okay sis I am going to get 1 and try it. So he starts eating it and says, Hey these are really good! He goes back and gets himself more. So I look and tell my daughter if she goes back to get another plate, to get me a couple squid fries, What the heck, I will try them with you 2. So she brings me some, I take a bite and first thing I taste is a Jalapeno taste without the heat. It has a nice crunchy batter on it. Very good to me too. My daughter missed her favorite thing last night, frog legs. I told her to ask the owner and I pointed him out to her. He and his wife have always been very nice folks. I had never eaten in a Chinese restaurant until they opened in 1998-1999?? In there original spot. They had a tree in there and the old buffet then seemed even larger. The egg rolls were larger and better. So we're the Crab Rangoon. So the 2nd time I ate there, I took my infant daughter, my brother, and my mom. I got them hooked! It was so funny! Especially my brother! He and his wife, he still takes her out there to dinner. Thank you China Buffet for making so many great memories for our family! You really still are the best Chinese Buffet around!! We still love today....❤️💕❤️...
Read moreThis is a very large buffet with tons of seating. You never have to wait for a table. It's in the corner of a shopping mall near DMV and Krogers, so it's easy to find and park. There's a couple of rooms, so there is plenty of seating. As far as the food, it is definitely the most variety of any buffet I've found anywhere! You'll find every kind of Chinese food that you usually find at these buffets, and it's all very well made and constantly added to, so it is FRESH! There's some basic sushi rolls here also. You'll find every kind of chicken, beef, or soups. There's different noodles and rices. They even make a good Egg Foo Yung. There's fruits, desserts, and your drink is never left empty. The service is friendly, too. This is a great place for lunch or dinner, and it's right off of the MacCorkle Blvd exit from Rt64....EZ Off/ EZ ON. It's worth stopping here, as I believe it's the best Chinese buffet I've ever been to. It's reasonably priced, too. Try it, and I believe that you won't be disappointed and really enjoy this delicious food and restaurant. There's take-out by weight also. Even my Tuxedo says it's Charlie the Cat...
