Don't let the exterior of the building detur you from what lies within! The food was served up piping hot & the portions were large. There was a large sauce to noodle ratio, which is personally preferred over the inverse. I enjoyed the thick alfredo sauce, but added a side of marinara to create a "pink" sauce to cut the richness down a touch. Would probably try a different meat rather than the meatballs the next time; they didn't have a lot of filler and were very tender, but lacked a bit in flavor. I didn't get to try the lasagna but it appeared dense, full of meat & ricotta; it, as well, was covered in sauce as you can see, but was somewhat heavy on the olive oil/grease. Each pasta dish was served with 2 pieces of garlic bread (pictured in the background), which was a pretty solid staple. The menu indicates that Mon-Thurs the pasta dinners are BOGO Half Off for dine in which is fantastic considering these ring in around 10 bucks each normally. The Calzone was ordered by my other lunch buddy and it was massive! Best of Greek & Italian? Gyro in a calzone, yes please! I know what I'm trying next time.
It was a little confusing for ordering/leaving as it's a mixed sit-down, dine-in, take-out, grubhub delivery joint, but if you order at the counter & pay prior that might be less confusing all around. Also, as a side note, they don't have fountain drinks so all beverages are cans or bottles. All in all, well worth the visit & will return for fresh made Italian at a...
Read moreFound Mario’s on DoorDash and I literally thought it was the Mario’s in downtown Charleston, which is one of my friends restaurants, that I love. Soon realizing it was not that Mario’s, I still proceeded to order because his name Is Marrioo (you better say it right). Anyways, their reviews looked great and all the pictures of his food seemed like legit food. My experience…. Spectacularrrrr / Fffffingg awesome!!!! I’m Italian, I have a big nose and my family will argue about sauce before we will argue about soccer. I say that because I was pretty pleased with Mr. New Mario’s cuisine The chicken parm 🍝was literally, like my mothers, whose last name is Cianci, if that tells you anything. The meatballs, eh, were very unimpressive, they need some spices and to be cooked longer. But aside from the meat a balls. This shhhh was great!!! 🤌🤌👌 Take my word for it, spend 40-50 bucks and getcha socks knocked off. Cheers friends
Update 11/04/22 This place is absolutely phenomenal. We ordered again tonight, the chicken parm was perfect, again. THE PIZZA THO!!!!🍕🤌 the best I’ve had since I moved here from Italy. The garlic bread was chewy this time but I’ll let ‘em slide, these guys know what they’re doing! I need to go see them in action.

Read morethis is singlehandedly the BEST Italian restaurant in the STATE, I lovee Italian food I've been to multiple Italian food restaurants but no where comes CLOSE to this restaurant. I have been here like times the food is so damn good. The Alfredo is cheesey but not super cheesy it's enough to be nice and saucy I added chicken to mine and the chicken is cooked so tender and a little bit juicy which I LOVED, I have also gotten the calzone and I 100% recommend the calzone it is so good and cheesy and the bread is the calzone is baked so nice and soft and delicious. Their pizza is like a star of the show nice crunchy crust comes out hot and the cheese again and again is so perfect and delicious. This is 100% my favorite restaurant and not to mention the staff are so nice one of them even recommended me a dish called the baked mostaccioli and oh my goodness it was delicious. Overall the staff is super nice and respectful, The food is delicious with hands down 0 flaws only complaint is I wish the pasta was like 1-2 dollars cheaper but I don't mind since I'm supporting a small business and I want them to get more money and grow into a bigger restaurant because they deserve to be famous, 10/10 restaurant food...
