Wild Birds Unlimited — Local services in Charleston

My mom and I decided to head over to Charleston for a short day trip from Savannah. I’m a frequent shopper at my local WBU in Savannah. Since we realized we were going to pass right by this store, we chose to stop in. Upon entering, we weren’t greeted which is totally unlike any WBU I’ve ever been in. I said hello to a thin lady who finally spoke back to me because I directly spoke to her. She offered no service, no welcome, nothing to either myself or my mom as we wandered throughout the store to see what was different from our local store. What saved this review from being one star is the other cheery lady with white hair. She was a light in what was an otherwise dreadful visit to somewhere I only ever experienced warm greetings. I probably will not return to this store and thankful that it isn’t my home store. To the lady with the white hair, your delightful demeanor is what encouraged me to actually continue on with my purchase. You are awesome! I hope you’re in...

Our first visit here. We are not knowledgable of wild birds but we do love seeing birds and wildlife in our backyard. Their merchandise are beautiful and they seem to have everything you need for birds. We bought a beautiful metal pergola that came with items you need for feeding birds. The staff were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable of anything and everything wildlife. We were greeted by their store dog, Beau who was a sweetheart! Will definitely be a place to get our supplies for birds and the beautiful selections they have...

I love this store which is located in West Ashley. When you enter, you hear the peaceful sound of water from their many fountains. It is so relaxing. They have everything you need backyard birding. The staff is extremely helpful and willing to answer all your questions. If the person you asked does not know the answer, they will find someone that can help you. Make sure you join their club so you can get a gift which is valued at the cost of the club and then you can get discounts. Great place to learn...
