West Side Market & Deli — Restaurant in Charleston

Very expensive place, highway robbery considering where it's located most people in that area don't have a vehicle so they walk to the closest and most convenient place which is West side market, let me tell you this gives a new and whole different meaning to "convenience store's" in my opinion. I understand charging a little more for the convenience but in the location this place sits, one would think it would be a little less pricey and be a little more accommodating to the surrounding housing and people struggling already that to me it appears they're just gouging the already unfortunate to make a huge profit for themselves.... that is incredibly greedy in my book and I probably will never walk back in there I do not support such blatant up charging to the community especially when said community has no other means so they have to get things there, its just poor business and to say you're there to help the community.........

I only go because its convenient. Their hours suck. Always open late mornings and close early in the evenings, knowing theyre the only store like this in the area. Prices are high for no reason and they charge you just to use your card, no matter how much you spend. The place always stinks and is in very bad shape. They make all that money, the owner drives a benz, but when it rains the roof leaks everywhere. The food is overpriced as well, especially since its just all frozen food fried fast. $1 per mozzarella stick? Smh only saving grace is the nice gentlemen that run the place. If their attitudes were to change thats all it would take for me to go further down the street...

LOOK I LOVE FOOD!!AND THEIR FOOD SOOO DAM GOOD!! IVE TRYED THEIR GYROS..AND I'M FROM UP STATE NY BABY THEY KNOW THEIR FOOD!!! YES SIR DOWN TO FRIED CHICKEN TO COLD- CUTS SANDWICHES GOOD. !!!
