A Hidden Gem in St. Thomas – A True Island-Style Deli Experience!
If you’re ever in St. Thomas, USVI and looking for a place that serves not just food but a full-on experience, French Town Deli is an absolute must-visit! Tucked away in a quiet cul-de-sac, this small and quaint deli may not be flashy, but it exudes the charm of an old-fashioned, island-style eatery.
From the moment I walked in, I could feel the warmth and authenticity of the place. The atmosphere was lively, buzzing with both locals and tourists, all raving about the food and service. And I completely understand why! The food is nothing short of top-tier—delicious, fresh, and made with care.
The real highlight of my visit was Maureen. While not the owner, she is the heart and soul of this deli! I overheard that she has been working here for years, and it shows in the way she treats every customer with warmth and attentiveness. Her service is nothing short of top-tier, making you want to sit there and eat for hours just to enjoy the welcoming atmosphere she creates.

Read moreCute little sandwich shop in Frenchtown, St. Thomas. We arrived mid-day looking for good coffee and a nice sandwich. We found both! The front of the shop is a small market and deli counter, the "back room" is the coffee shop.
We ordered a double cappuccino, a half Mad Russian. The coffee was very good, piping hot, and the shop had all the extras we needed. Lots of pastrami, slaw, Russian dressing on rye. Good sandwich, good meat, tasty slaw, tender bread. All ingredients were super fresh!
Same experience with the wild turkey sandwich. Fresh multi-grain bread roll, abundance of turkey, jalapeño jack cheese, lettuce, tomato and mayo. Simple greatness in a sandwich.
All the staff was super-friendly, very helpful with the menu. The space was very clean, in the cafe side the tables were cleaned quickly after guests left. Recommend Frenchtown Deli and...
Read moreCute little deli with good food. $14 a sandwich. Chips, drinks etc. are additional. They also have a coffee bar which is a nice touch. The bad thing was their was an old woman / employee who was working at the time, but then seemed to be on break and eating in the dinning area. The problem wasn’t her eating, it was that she must have gotten up from her table no less than 7 times. Each time, stomping around the room in her work boots and “ripped” jeans or banging on the glass in a pitiful effort to get someone’s attention. She was also muttering under her breath about lies and making mistakes. It was a bad look for the restaurant and left a very uncomfortable environment for those of us dinning in that...
