We went into House of Rajah after looking in quite a few jewelry stores. Actually, we almost got ripped off by the jeweler across the street. So my husband and I were both extremely skeptical. I had seen House of Rajah recommended in many St. Thomas travel groups, so we decided to at least look. We came in there and got treated so well by George. He asked me what I wanted and didn’t attempt to sell me on anything else. He showed us several diamonds/rings and gave us the price of each. He made sure we were aware of what color and clarity, etc. each piece was classified as. Weighed diamonds in front of me. Helped us create a gorgeous diamond ring and had it sized and finished in about an hour. He gave us appraisal papers…the ring was appraised by House of Rajah at nearly double what we were paying. We felt George was very genuine and patient and decided to trust we were not getting ripped off. Immediately, we had it appraised after returning home. The ring was classified exactly as George said it was. Color, clarity, carat weight, etc. It appraised at double what we paid (and tax free on top of it). We acted so suspicious of the poor guy after our experience across the street, and the entire time he remained extremely respectful, reassuring, and responsive to all questions and concerns. Stunning Custom Ring and Custom Service! During our last hour in St. Thomas, we stopped in House of Rajah for a quick look at a possible engagement ring upgrade. It was a slow day with no cruise ships, but Harry provided us with friendly, low pressure service. He showed us a lovely emerald cut diamond and some setting possibilities, but the price was higher than we had considered at that time. As we attempted to leave in our rush to make sure we met our flight, Harry made an effort to give me my first education in GIA certifications. Once we made it home to the States and had time to think more about diamond possibilities, I remembered back to that quick visit. While we had encountered a couple of other reputable and friendly jewelers in St. Thomas, House of Rajah had that particular diamond I really liked. So I sent Harry a detailed email and then gave him a call. Sure enough, he still had the diamond and offered a reasonable price. After some time shopping with my favorite jeweler back home and another great jeweler in St. Thomas, I finally decided to go with House of Rajah. Harry was very careful to explain their process to me and to listen to my requests. Above and Beyond:

For months I dreamed of buying my first nice watch. In my mind I would buy a nice watch (expensive) and a lesser watch to wear daily and not worry about messing it up. When we arrived in Charlotte Amalie is was obvious that jewelry stores were on every corner trying for business. From the door you could tell House of Rajah had a great selection of jewelry and watches, so we went in. Greeted with warm welcome we felt invited and NOT pressured. I told “George” my idea and within minutes of finding my dream watch and daily wear watch I was all set. EXCEPT my dream watch was one link too small. George reassured me he would locate the link and ship it to me. Fast forward 2 months and because of shipping and availability the link proved hard to locate. George emailed me weekly to keep me up to date and when it looked like it wasn’t possible on his end, he sent me a check to take care of it on mine. I received the check yesterday and the link I ordered should be here any day. Long story short this jeweler went above and beyond what was required. I never expected him to fully make it right and I think I would have been ok had it not, but the truth is he held his word and made it right.
