American Deli — Restaurant in Charlotte

Atmosphere: basic, table& chairs to sit at Food: fries fresh/chicken old, dry & fried hard Customer service: it was decent. 1- I ordered a chicken Philly, they gave me a beef cheesesteak 2- I should have paid attention. but that's on me, I'll own it I called back: put on hold, they pick up...then hung up on me..I called back put back on hold- they hung up...I called a 3rd time - the lines was busy.... mind you...that was just calling- I had actually stated the reason for my call. Called back 10min. later- explained what happened...told them I was home in Monroe...she said Ok...let me ask the mgr.. She said what do you want...., "I said to get what I ordered...my order number is #115 and I spent $59 for 3 combos.. OK, so I got back in the car...mind you I was near the airport...I live in Monroe... I Got there...and they totally flipped...said I could get what I ordered, the manager came out and asked for the food...Sir..I spoke to the girl- she said NOTHING about bringing the good...of course I would have... So for my time driving back up here yll giving me beef when I paid for Chicken.you couldn't make it right? HAD YLL TOLD ME WHEN I CALLED I COULD HAVE SAVED MY GAS, MY TIME & MY MONEY!!! you had me to drive back up there only for you to say yll cannot make the order right... I...

Well...I had no idea this was "Wing it" on Uber Eats. But this is where it came from. I was a bit nervous from other reviews regarding delivery quality. There was a BOGO wings deal on Uber for this location and got 24 wings for $17~. I ordered the boneless wings, they were actually really good, did the kickin bourbon and mango habanero. They were actually really good and I was impressed. I would recommend this location for their boneless wings. I did notice that the Uber driver was waiting a little while at the location until they were ready so I'm assuming they took longer than expected to be prepared and cooked. Overall good experience via Uber Eats.

Edit (-2 stars): a few hours after eating, I got pretty sick and seemed to have food poisoning from the food I had ordered. There was nothing else I had eaten that evening and lasted until the morning. I would be careful if you were to order any wings from this location, and maybe as a precaution, put them in your microwave or oven...

Worst American Deli ever. I walked in and stood at the counter for several minutes, with the associate standing right there at the same counter, and she didn't look up nor greet me. Once she finally asked what I needed, I let her know I was picking up food I ordered via Uber eats. I got my food and it was disgusting. The worst shrimp fried rice I ever tried in my life. Just looking at it, I knew I needed to taste it before I left and I'm glad I did bc it was sooo gross. The rice was not fried. It was just steamed and mushy. The shrimp was bland and colorless so idk how they even cooked that either but it was just awful. All over their register it says no refunds or exchanges and that was a sign in and of itself bc they know they're serving terrible food that people are probably going to complain about. And they refused to let me choose something else or get my money back. Never will visit this restaurant again. Worst American Deli ever. I left with no food and no refund. So $20...
