I placed an order earlier this evening through a 3rd party app via Doordash. The order came to a total of $47.20. Order number 1010009 on March 4th at 8:55 pm. Manager on duty was the store manager, Felix. The order concluded of an 8 piece meal with biscuits and a large side ($20.99), 3pc meal w/ one side($7.99) 2pc meal w/ one side ($6.79) an apple cinnamon pie ($1.39) and an additional large green bean ($4.79). Needless to say we did not receive the 3pc Or the large green bean, after breaking the seal that the store puts in place to prevent the door dash drivers from tampering with the orders, I opened the family meal to feed my children, there were multiple pieces of dried chicken. Jerky consistency. Not feeling comfortable to feed my family this meal I decided to take the order back to the restaurant to get the items that were mistakenly left out of my order and also to get an exchange on the dried protein. Felix informed me that he had packed the orders himself and he didn't make any mistakes and I would have to take my “problem” to door dash. He said he would be taking a loss by replacing my order because “ you could easily call door dash and get your money back”. When I asked if he would at least replace the dried chicken he said no. He admitted that the chicken was dry due to it sitting under the heating lamp for too long. ( If i'm not mistaken, fried chicken has a hold time of 30 mins, so how long is “too” long?) Felix ended the conversation stating that he could not give me the district manager’s number but that he would take my information and “ pass it along”. I said ok, he closed the drive thru window and walked away. He noticed I was still sitting there, came back and said “ May I help you?” I asked if he was going to get my information. He grabbed a piece of receipt paper that was sitting off to the side, wrote my name and number and left the paper sitting there. I told him that he could keep the food and left it in the drive thru window. OMG!!! The worst service I’ve ever experienced from a store manager. I've been a general manager for Papa Johns for five consecutive years and have never treated a...
Read moreDuring a visit to Popeyes in Charlotte two days ago with my daughter, I was left thoroughly disappointed by the experience. We initially planned to use the drive-through for a quick order of fries, but upon being informed that the system wasn’t working, we decided to go inside. Unfortunately, this decision exposed us to a series of issues that were both unprofessional and unappetizing.
Ambiance and Cleanliness: The state of the restaurant was shockingly poor. The floors were filthy, and the overall environment lacked any semblance of cleanliness. This was immediately off-putting and set a negative tone for the visit.
Service Experience: Upon entering, there was no staff present at the front desk to take our order. Despite standing there for about 5–10 minutes, the kitchen staff continued their tasks without acknowledgment, and other employees walked around aimlessly. Eventually, someone called for a staff member to assist us, but her arrival only worsened the situation.
The employee who came to the counter had a visibly dirty uniform and was actively engaged in a phone conversation when she arrived. She continued her personal call while attempting to take our order, offering no greeting or courtesy to me or my daughter. This level of disregard for basic customer service is simply unacceptable.
Hygiene Standards: The counter was dirty, and the general environment of the restaurant reeked of neglect. Adding to the discomfort, another individual entered the establishment with a cigarette, further diminishing any hope of a pleasant dining experience.
Conclusion: I ultimately decided to leave without completing my order and cannot, in good conscience, recommend this Popeyes location to anyone. The combination of poor cleanliness, lack of professionalism, and abysmal customer service made this one of the worst dining experiences I’ve encountered. Popeyes in Charlotte needs a serious overhaul in both its hygiene practices and its employee training if it hopes to retain customers in the future.

Read moreContinuing my search for the ultimate chicken sandwich. And since Popeyes was touted as the best at the beginning of this chicken sandwich craze, I wanted to see if they were living up to all of the hype. The drive-thru was absolutely packed. Almost completely circling the restaurant. We parked and decided to order inside. The line inside was not very long, but there were a number of people who were still waiting for their food. Some for 15 minutes...or longer. This included dine-in patrons, as well as food-delivery people. Unfortunately, the kitchen staff were completely overwhelmed. They were dropping the chicken and fish for the sandwiches in the grease as quickly as possible. All to no avail. The bathrooms were a mess and the beverage dispensing station was less than satisfactory. The majority of choices for beverages were either out of order, or the beverage flavors were out, or the carbonation tanks were empty. We waited and additional 10 minutes for our purchases, as did the customer's who were already in line prior to our arrival. The packaging for the fish and chicken sandwiches kept them piping hot. Fold over packaging with a foil exterior and a thin paper lining. This kept the sandwich hot and the thin paper interior lining kept the moisture from making the sandwich soggy. The buns were very good. And they served the chicken sandwich with pickles(which I personally like). Friends of mine who ordered the fish sandwiches, were less than overwhelmed. And the chicken sandwiches were good; but definitely did not live up too all of the hype. The classic chicken sandwich combo was $6.59 before tax and the flounder sandwich combo was $6.99 before tax. Not expensive, by any stretch of the imagination. But...with the extended wait period for the food and the disarray in the bathroom and the malfunctioning of the beverage dispensing machine. The overall experience was "okay". If you took the time to read this review, please take a 1/2 second and click...
