Cali Colombian Restaurant - South Blvd. — Restaurant in Charlotte

The experience there was regular, we wait for around 1 hour to get a table, for first instance we received a really quick service from the manager and our server. But when food came out we receive the plate incomplete that its valid cus its a brand new restaurant and they still learning, that its not valid is that the only person that was checkin our table was the manager, our waiter disappeared. I ate a big plate and i ran out of drink really quick literally waiter came on the end just asking if everything was good. Oh the items missing on our plates came on the end literally when we done, after that we asked for check and water. She took more than 15 minutes to return the change and bring me a cup of water, we wait a looooong time until manager came to us and she asked if everything was good. Once we receive the change, we received wrong change and one more time we was on the wait game. Waiter came and fix the problem, before i left i gave her 15% gratuity that for me its a lot for the poor service that i received from Luisa and she look at me really mad. Honestly the Manager deserved more that 50% of gratuity.

Food was amazing, we try plates that have like a little bit of everything, the only thing was the “rellena” i dont like it, that doesn’t taste to a colombian rellena. But food its really great. Thanks for the manager that gave us “pan de bono” it was delicius love it.

My feedback its for managing, you should hire more servers they was running everywhere without taking care of their tables and also the restaurant its getting full for hours, one or two more server will help and the service will be great, the point of have server its sell a good experience, no just plates.

10 STARS! This place a true gem right in the heart of Charlotte. I’m half Colombian, and my parents make the absolute best Colombian food, and so I am always picky about where I eat authentic Colombian food. We have tried MULTIPLE places in Charlotte, and nothing comes even remotely close to Cali Colombiana.

FOOD: The food is absolutely incredible, insanely huge portion sizes at an affordable price, full of authentic Colombian flavors that will make you dream about going back. I literally dream about their bandeja paisa at night and my sweet husband takes me every time to fulfill my craving 😂. We’ve tried multiple dishes here and not one has disappointed us.

ATMOSPHERE: This restaurant is always busy, but to me it’s a good thing. It says a lot about them! Although it’s always busy, you are always attended to by the wonderful servers. It’s a small spot but it’s so cute and homey. I love the feel of it. Feels kinda like you’re going to Tia’s house or something, haha I love it.

SERVICE: Service is outstanding! We have had multiple servers and they’ve all been so kind and delightful. A shoutout to Diego who has been our favorite server so far! He has such a sweet and warm spirit, checked on us often, and took exceptional care of us. Thank you so much, Diego!

During my visit, I found myself glancing around at other tables, and every plate looked absolutely amazing—testament to the care and creativity put into each dish.

I ordered the arepa, which, while slightly stale and hard, was still enjoyable thanks to the flavorful toppings.
