My cousin and I went here a few weeks ago. I always dine at the Chuck E. Cheese in Pineville, but have always been curious about this location. Sadly, the one on Albemarle Road is the worst one I've ever stepped foot in and will never do so again.
We ordered our pizzas but after sitting and waiting for over an hour, we were getting restless and confused as to why it was taking this long. My cousin asked the cashier woman why it had been taking so long to get her food, and she responded by saying the ovens had not been working. I was dumbfounded when she relayed this information to me. They could have made an announcement to their customers saying that the oven wasn't functioning! We don't want to sit here for hours waiting for our food without knowing why.
I told my cousin that I'll wait 20 more minutes and when that time comes I'll ask for a refund. Lo and behold, my buzzer starts ringing after 19 minutes. Went up to get my pizza and it looked stale as ever. The lady in the kitchen said "It's been sitting here for a long time so it may be cold." What?! I touched it and she was correct. Why on earth didn't she notify me immediately when the pizza was out of the oven? I couldn't stand for this. Another worker approached me and asked what was wrong. I told her the pizza was cold and she accused me for not immediately fetching my pizza when my buzzer rang. Are employees really allowed to treat their customers like this? I ended up telling her I came right when it buzzed and that I would prefer it if my pizza was fresh. She looked annoyed and thus relayed the order to the kitchen. Pizza came out 10-15 minutes later and was delicious, but I could not believe how rude and incompetent these workers here were. I could tell the place was extremely short-staffed (only noticed three workers there) but that is no excuse for the service to be this horrendous.
If you want to go to a Chuck E. Cheese where the service is reliable and the pizza is delicious, visit the one on Pineville-Matthews Road. The workers there at least aren't unprofessional or careless. Avoid this location...
Read moreHello,
I would like to say that my children’s experience from check-in to playing games games was phenomenal until we approached the prize counter. I was greeted by a lady and out of respect and how I was raised. I will not disclose her personal appearance or the name on her work badge. She was very rude to my children and ultimately myself. She was extremely impatient and within one minute she started picking prizes for my children without giving them time to think for themselves. I make a lot of excuses for people such as, “Maybe she(the employee) was tired.” But, I will not today. After scanning our game card where the tickets are loaded onto. She told me the final ticket amount and told my kids where they could choose a prize from. My daughter kindly said she wanted a prize from the wall. Then, the employee rudely and firmly replied by saying, “No, you can choose a prize from right here.” As if I am not able to respond to my own children and repeat what the woman said to my kids. My daughter instantly broke out into tears and her rudeness was unacceptable for her to choose a job that requires patience. I called the place back after I left and gave a verbal complaint to the on duty manager who stated that she would talk to her and apologized on the employees behalf. I will not return to this location or any other for that matter. Thanks for providing my child with a lovely memory(sarcasm). May you encounter pleasant customer service when you are off...
Read moreThis is my second time taking my son here for his birthday. However, this was his first party inviting friends being that he is in kindergarten now. As usual, the staff go above and beyond to make sure that everyone is taken care of and the party goes by seamlessly and is very organized. It is on the rather expensive side. I chose the middle package which was $28 per child. When I made the reservations I put down that there were 12 children showing up and there were a few no-shows. Since I wasn't sure whether or not they were going to be coming, I paid for them anyway. They offer the children two slices of pizza each, which isn't a lot and they don't give anything to the adults. Since you can't bring any outside food in and it's important to be a good host, you have to order extra pizza for the adults. All said with about eight or nine kids and maybe six adults or so. I spent about $400 total. I do consider that to be a bit much. It was for my child's and he had a blast and I think that's what...
