I recently had a very disappointing experience with Halal International on N Amity Road in Charlotte, specifically in their meat section. Despite placing an order online well in advance, my order was not ready when I arrived. It quickly became evident that the staff was either unaware of or completely disregarding online orders.
The in-store experience was equally frustrating. There seemed to be no system in place for serving customers in the order they arrived. Instead, the staff would take whoever they wanted next, regardless of the actual line. This chaotic approach made the wait unnecessarily long and aggravating.
The lack of organization and customer service is particularly unacceptable in the meat section, where freshness and timely service are paramount. When I finally received my order, the quality of the meat was subpar and not worth the hassle of the disorganized and inefficient service.
It's clear that the management needs to address these issues urgently. The meat section should have a dedicated staff who can efficiently manage both in-store and online orders, ensuring that all customers are served in a fair and timely manner. Additionally, better training for the staff on customer service and order management is essential.
Until these improvements are made, I cannot recommend Halal International for their meat section or any other part of the store. My recent experiences have been a significant letdown, and I hope they take steps to improve their...
Read moreI do my best to shop at the halal markets because my thought was the warmth and comfort I feel when I shop there being a Muslim compared to these other shops that cater to their people. Well today I drive 30 minutes to get here looking for some items to decorate for Ramadan. I walk into the store and get nothing. As I walk around the store no one ask if you need assistance sister. Once I approach the register to pay for the few things I purchased. I get no greeting. I say Shukran at the end of the transaction and get nothing in return. She doesnât pick up my bag and hand it to me. I wonât come back here anymore. In this climate we as Muslims need to be very particular to acknowledge one another. I could have purchased my items online but trying to support local businesses I chose to come here. This is my last time. My sisters you made this an unwelcoming experience so I will shop at Zaytuna in University City or your other location as I am always greeted and made to feel welcomed at those locations. I didnât want to write this but itâs heavy on my heart that you treated me the way you did. Iâll make Dua for you that no other sister or brother enter your store and feel like you made me feel today. The second day of Ramadan is not a good way to start. May Allah forgive you for your...
Read moreI am a long time regular customer. I made a trip to the shop for my 4th of July weekend food needs. I noticed that the TV which normally displays the menu was not on in the meat department. All the items were out so I asked for ground meet and they said they can provide this item even though their shelves are empty. I was asked if i want bones in my meat which i refused. soon after i asked for deli meat which they provided. when i went to checkout line the price was inflated. when cashier was asked about this increase she said this is the correct price but asked the meat department to validate. Meat department had no answer to price inflation. we paid about 5 dollars per pound more for the deli and about the same increase for ground meat which had bones in it. It is really embarrassing to serve burgers to our guest which has bones. I feel this shop is in the business to exploit Muslim community in Charlotte to purely make a buck. I am all about supporting a small business, but ethical business practices is a must, especially when you are in the HALAL business. I feel that unethical practices has turned this Halal business into the contrary. I will no longer support Halal International with my...
