The whole experience was terrible. They gave us burnt chicken and hard biscuits. The manager Darlene has terrible customer service skills and talks down on her employees. How is this a representation of the company and values. It's ridiculous to spend money in an establishment and be treated this way..
*Update Review. I came in to place an order. I decided to use rewards app but didn't mention this at first. The rewards consists of two pieces of chicken free. Gave Kahdim my order(2 pieces of chicken) and noticed he added a biscuit to my order during this 5 minutes of trying to explain I didn't want to add anything, he added another two piece, then I said no I don't want that, just the two pieces of chicken, so he took that off the biscuit and added a pepper. At that point I asked for a manager to explain and because there was also a language barrier. He was saying I couldn't order just two pieces of chicken I had to add a biscuit or pepper. I said no I'm using my rewards app to pay and it's free I thought. The manager Mamba came to try and correct the situation now saying the same thing basically... It wasn't until the lady cashier(didn't catch her name) spoken in plain English, letting me know that if I'm using my rewards app I have to make a purchase to receive the free chicken. I could have purchased a .27$ sauce, drink , or anything of my choosing. But If I'm not using the app I can order two pieces of chicken without adding a biscuit or pepper as well.. I told the manager and cashier they should have stated that clearly and not just add on any item to my order. To ask the customer what they would like to add and explain how the rewards app works. This to me is poor customer service as well as not having the right people(excellent customer service, articulate, listen and understand what the customer wants) upfront to represent the Church's Brand but I'm noticing the brand is becoming extinct anyways and this is why! It appears that an African owner took over and hired all of his family to work there which is ok but please be mindful that consumers are keeping the business afloat, shrugging your shoulders at a customer and not asking for help when not comprehending is inexcusable. The manager did apologize only after asking for his name. (I added on a fried okra to my order, which I asked to be made fresh. He took them from bin and added...
Read moreFirst of all talk about the atmosphere was very unclean. It was a lady in front of me and the cashier took her order, and when she got done, she walked away which left me standing there for for about five minutes. Other cashier took my order and I ordered them a fish sandwich so as I was waiting for my order, I was just looking at my surroundings the floors were not cleaned. The tables were old and outdated, and then I watched as the cashier took my order put on gloves and decided to refill the condiment area where they spread tartar sauce and pickles and everything else on your food, and she was refilling these items on the counter, where she serves people and collect money very unsanitary, one of the guys that was in the back doing garbage came to the front walked around the side and was refilling the tea he didn’t wash his hands and while he was doing that he was too busy staring at girls that were walking into the store then he went back into the back and decided to do the chicken again. Now, back to the lady who left me unattended, came out of the bathroom, where she told the manager that she was cleaning, then she proceeded to take other orders as inside the restaurant got very, very crowded. I placed my order at 5:39pm and now at 6:02 I am finally getting my food (Just note that I watched the fish that was fried prior to was already done. The reason being that it took too long it’s because the lady who had taken my order was the same lady who was filling all of the condiments, which she shouldn’t have been doing) i finally got my food and I was looking over it just to make sure that the order was correct. The cashier that took my order proceeded to come to the car and told me that the manager wanted to give me two pies for me waiting so long. So I took the pies and my food, the pies look like they have been soaking in grease, the fish sandwich is cold my bread is hard and fires was cold and soft. I think they need to shut this place down and remolded, the staff need to be retrained about cross contamination, professionalism, time management and the manager and cleanliness. I will not be going back at all. This was a very horrible...
