Felix Handmade Empanadas Food Truck — Restaurant in Charlotte

Over and beyond service - great food. I ordered from Grubhub a variety of empanadas. A few they didn't have in stock so they called me and asked if it was okay to change it up and add a few extra. No problem! Then, the driver couldn't find the place. Instead of working with me or the food truck to find it, he decided to not answer his phone. They called me and were worried my food would get cold and asked if they could deliver it to me. I was so impressed.

The actual food was very good. Crusts were all flaky and amazing. Short run down of the ones we tried: Steak - very good, lots of onions though so be prepared for that. This one is a little wetter than the others so it wasn't as good left over as some of the other ones. My favorite. Chicken - my gf's favorite. Very good. Ham and Cheese - very breakfasty, I wouldn't personally order this for lunch, but it reminded me of a homemade version of a breakfast hot pocket, just better. Bacon, Ham, Cheese - about the same as above but with bacon, so better. Bacon, goat cheese, and date - I did really like this one, but it's definitely not on the sweeter side at all. The goat cheese makes it a little drier than the others. Guava and cheese - really good. Guava is sometimes hit or miss for me and I thought this was great. Banana and Nutella - good, but could use a lot more banana based on the two we had. The nutella is thick and delicious, but I definitely could've used more banana and/ or large pieces of banana. This is my favorite flavor combo but probably my least favorite of the empanadas... more banana would move it up fast so if you really just wanted nutella.....

Ordered the chicken, steak and bacon/date/goat cheese empanadas from the Optimist Hall location this week.

Food was very good. However, customer service was not. When I called I was asked if I could be placed on hold, and then the rep hung up on me. I was confused so I called back and no one picked up. Then I received a text message saying “I’ll call you”

3 minutes later, I received a call and the male on the phone was rude. I placed my order and was told it would be ready in 5 minutes. I showed up 15 minutes later and the food was not ready. The male at the counter (I believe it was him on the phone too) was not very welcoming. It just seemed like he didn’t care. I was trying to support local business given the pandemic going on. I liked the empanadas, but given the experience I doubt...

Let me tell you these are the absolute BEST empanadas on 🌎. I just tried this place out for the 1st time yesterday.. I escaped my home for a few hours on a quick quarantine food run and ended up here. This was the ABSOLUTE best choice (regardless of the fact that there weren't many other options to choose from lol). My top three empanada choices hands down are the pulled chorizo, the goat cheese and bacon, and lastly as a dessert the nutella and banana(it taste similar to a banana foster). The food here is MOUTHWATERING good, the staff was very friendly, and the food was prepared fast. I will definitely...
