If you’ve been shopping at Super G then you probably have seen Korean Restaurant at the back of the store. Today I decided to try out the food since I was there and I’m a big fan of Korean dishes. Firstly, the menu selection is decent and they have all the main Korean favorites that you’d find at a standalone restaurant.

Something to consider is that they’re dine in seating is closed so you have to take your order to go which was disappointing. I ordered the Bulgogi which is one of my favorites with a side of white rice and kimchi. The Bulgogi was decent, it had good flavor but the portion size was small considering the price of the food.

I was expecting the food to be better and considering that it’s in an Asian supermarket you’d think so but again it was decent. If you’re new to Korean food and wanting a great experience then there are better options. If you happen to be in the area and really want Korean flavor then Korean Restaurant isn’t...

Yo this food is so bomb, the best Korean food out there. Once you eat Nancy’s Korean food you won’t be a able to eat other Korean food this GOOD. Not only is the food amazing and affordable, the staff is incredible- it’s a family owned business. The side dishes are affordable and fresh and there’s a wide variety of choices which is great to buy and try it with the dishes, if not- the dishes come with a side of kimchi, rice, and depending on the meal also a side of radish. It’s awesome to have such authentic Korean food here in Charlotte. The chef is Ms. Nancy and she always has such a great smile and a warm greeting. Depending on the day, the cashiers may vary but they are all very welcoming and will help you with any questions. In conclusion this food is AMAZING if you come to Charlotte you definitely need to try Korean...

Hate that I loved it. Very expensive bulgogi ($18) especially from a grocery store strip mall. I left disappointed that I splurged so much for a random quick meal. Was ready to beat myself up over it.

But.

Got home, opened it up, and the best bulgogi I’ve ever had. And I’ve had bulgogi from at least a few dozen places throughout the US. Beautifully done, perfectly seasoned, minimally oily, just fresh as can be. Left me so happy that the price was ACTUALLY well worth it. I’ll be coming back again and again, but from here on out I’ll have more faith that despite my initial expectations, I’m really paying for exceptionally well prepared food

If the restaurant reads this, please never lower your standards. It’s so refreshing to find someone taking pride in their meals and doing it...

This was my first time trying the food counters inside Super G Mart (Independence Avenue). I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor and quality of the food at the aptly named Korean Restaurant. The service was very friendly and efficient. I ordered the bulgogi, which came out fresh and hot. The gochujang sauce was perfect, being more spicy than sweet. I was not a fan of the accompanying kimchi, which did not taste fresh and was relatively dry. I also was surprised at the high price ($13.99 + tax). Overall, I felt that the portion was ideal and the flavors were excellent and authentic. I would recommend to others, but don’t expect a “cheap eat.”

Quaint Korean restaurant in the back of the international supermarket. Quick place to eat before/after shopping. Easily missed if you didn't know it was there. Overall clean environment though cheap tables and chairs. The prices are pretty fair (if not cheap) for great Korean food. The staff has always been pleasant, especially the supervisor/owner lady. Oh, but the food... So delicious and authentic, whether you want japchae (glass) noodles or bulgogi (ribeye) meat. *Almost* as good as my grandmother's cooking. It has become tradition anytime I am shopping around G Mart.
