This place sucks people will eat anything and give it rave reviews, my Daughter took my Granddaughter and I to this joint because she heard it was all of that, well first of all it wasn't that easy to find from outside Brevard st, there weren't any signs to direct us to Harriet's, we finally located the place after walking around up a double flight of stairs then down a hall , when we arrived we glanced up at the menu for a minute, my Daughter told the guy taking our order i was our first time trying their burgers, which obviously he totally ignored her, we begin to place our order three cheese burgers with lettuces , tomatoes they didn't have tomatoes nor lettuce , I asked why don't you have lettuce or tomatoes are you just out of them , he hesitated as if I asked him a multiple choice question, after several seconds of silence , the manager spoke up saying we just don't serve them, I said oh wow so he asked for a phone number and name for the order, we gave him a number and the name Alice clear as day, he didn't direct us as to where we could or could not sit to wait on our order, after all it was our first time there , so we walked found a table not far from their booth, we looked for them to call our name when the order was ready he never did, we sat there waiting for our order , I happened to look at my phone saw they texted me about 7 minutes ago, so my Daughter went to get our order, the wrappers were full of grease, the burgers were mashed burgers, which was fine but they were heavily greasy and the taste was unlike any hamburger meat we've ever tasted, it taste wild no salt , no garlic powder just a gross unbearable taste, it was the most awful tasting hamburger we have ever attempted to eat , while we were at the table we heard them call another costomer name out loud , to pick up their order so we figured out the pick up procedure, they just didn't call our name, but we definitely won't be coming back there again , we'll also spread the word giving a truthful review , unlike some so no else will waste 40.00 dollars on 3 horrible burgers 2 fries 1 drink , a Dave's single would have done the job, the cashier was cold unwelcoming with an attitude, terrible customer service skills, when we were leaving I happened to look at the receipt , it was insulting that he put Alex a guys name on...

Just to update: the customer service here is FANTASTIC, like some of the best I’ve ever encountered. My friends and I came here last night and we were treated so kindly by Jay and team. They were so helpful, welcoming, and made little jokes with us. We walked away going, “wow, those are the friendliest people we’ve met in a long time”. If Harriet’s management sees this, kudos to Jay and team for providing EXCEPTIONAL customer service. Your burgers sold me and your people will keep us coming back!

Original Post:

I ordered a burger and fries for delivery tonight because, every time I’ve gone to Optimist Hall, I’ve been sucked in by the delicious ethnic food choices and didn’t want to give in to traditional American comfort food. I’m so glad I decided to give them a try today after seeing someone’s Yelp pic of a Juicy Lucy!

The Good: top 3 best burgers I’ve ever had. Hands down. I got a single patty with extra cheese, pickles, onion, and added ketchup and mustard. I don’t know how some reviewers have said the patty was dry and flavorless because mine was not. The wrapper was so hard to remove from the burger - it was that juicy and gooey and amazing - my favorite type of burger. The flavors were amazing. The cheese, special sauce, fat from the burger - just incredible. The fries were good too but came cold so I bet they’re amazing when they’re hot and fresh. The chance you take with delivery I suppose. The burger, before adding extra cheese, was around $10 which I think is a fair price for the quality and amount. The burger was super filling so I wasn’t left feeling like I needed more bang for my buck.

The Meh: maybe because I was ordering online and I see reviews saying the Juicy Lucy is a secret menu item but there was no way to order this online which stinks for me since I don’t drive and only get to OH via light rail. Really wanted one tonight, though, and couldn’t get it. Definitely gonna go in person sometime to try it.

The Bad: nothing. This place is amazing.

Give this a try if you’re a fan of messy, gooey,...

Hello viewer,

During my business trip, I happen to be introduced by my local coworker for the newly and good vibe place - optimist park for dine in. In here, they offer variety of foods from East to west, open space, and nice facility for visitors. I was dazzled by all the selections.

I cannot make up my mind and eventually observe people hold the green cups and soon realized it’s Harriet’s hamburger, I always follow and see what most of people are ordering and trying to figure out.

The cashier is definitely unfriendly without an eye contact, and I order almost everything from OG burger, fries, 3 kinds of dipping sauce, and a Diet Coke. I found it sarcastic the digital screen is plead with tip, so it’s a 0. I received “ready to pick up” phone text shortly after 3 minutes, and found a to go bag for me. I open the bag when I return to my seats, and fries is missing, so I had to walk back and ask for the fries 🍟. The staffs look confused, like the fries disappeared it leave me with a bitter customer service experience. After all, the bag was Stapled.

The burger style is a standard smashed style burger that provide extra crispy texture, and char smell, this burger is over seasoning with salt. the fries are standard, and I am not a fan of 3 sauce for $1 deal, because I did not find any sauce I like at the end.

I did not find anything I appreciated in Harriet’s hamburger, from customer service to the foods, and they are merely the same price as the restaurant burger.🍔 of course, I think the experience will be different if you are into heavier seasoning.

I will go buy a dessert to balance the salt from the burger after this or...

I’m sure many of you were awaiting the arrival of Famous Harriet’s Hamburgers like we were! Well... it’s here, and it’s delicious! First of all, someone needs to do a case study on their branding because it is AMAZING! Before you’ve even taken a bite, you know all about what they’re about, who they do it for, and why they do it. And the design of their menus, bags (even down to the green staples), drink cups, straws, and the overall customer experience has been given some major forethought! The burgers are great! The patties are seasoned extremely well although they are a little on the flat side of things. If it’s your first time, I would recommend trying the double, as this comes out to be the height of most single patty burgers elsewhere (and personally, a better patty to bun ratio if you ask me). Whatever sauce is on the burger is heavenly and I’m loving the pickles! The grilled red onions make for a nice crunchy finish. Finally, the fries are incredible on their own. No doubt, the branding on the fry sauce containers like the Dilly Ranch and Garlic Rosemary Aioli are cool... but I find the fries to be best on their own with no sauce. Your mileage may vary, however... but why mess with something that’s fairly close to perfection? You know? This place gets high marks and is a welcome addition to the already amazing food lineup at Optimist Hall! - Adam from @appetiteandadventure
