This was my first "Real" Visit into the heart of Charlotte's "High End" / Beverly Hill's Section - Called Ballantyne. - This "Creperie" is located in a very "High End" Shopping Center that can get very busy. Stumbled upon this gem of a spot - It was kind of busy inside and very colorful; - For Obvious reasons. Who doesn't love crepes? Decided to treat myself some some Crepes for a Saturday Afternoon Snack; - Wow. They were truly delicious. Loved the decor - very nice ambience. Whoever picked out the chairs in this place, was a decorating genius; - Maybe, they can pick them out in Orange next time; But - Nevertheless, let's get down to business. Everything is made to order and made with the freshest of ingredients; - Staff are very cool - friendly and aim to please. Everyone is healthy appearing and looks happy! :-) I watched some young gal, chopped up some fresh strawberries. I went with the Banana Split Sundae Crepes - Truly magnificent. I'm definitely planning on coming back with Andrea to try one of the other many options. Being here today, transported me back to Montreal, Quebec - Obviously, you know why I had to say that. Anyways - You don't have to freeze your tuchas off and go all the way up to Canada; - Delicious Crepes are available in this incredible cool shopping center in Ballantyne, Charlotte. Enjoy! A+ - I should mention I was truly impressed with the Boylan's Soda Fountain - This is Soda that is "Crafted" with Cane Sugar - Absolutely, a treat to enjoy. This delectable beverage certainly goes down really nicely with one of Hazelnuts Creperie's delicious Crepes. Kudos to the Owner / Operator who was "In House" and being so kind and respectful to his many...
Read moreWe took our friends here and it blew their minds. They’ve never had savory crepes before. The four of us ordered the chicken bacon ranch, chicken curry, pesto capri veggie, and samosa savory crepes. For dessert, we ordered the caramel apple and the banana split crepes. Everything was so good! Drinks were on the sweeter side, but free refills is a plus on the sweet tea and the iced coffee. My favorite was the chicken bacon ranch for the savory, and the banana split for the dessert. The desserts came with ice cream. Service was good. We sat outside in the shade. There’s a small grassy area across the storefront that has additional benches and tables. You can get a nice photo op there with the floral arch. I recommend you walk around the area if you’ve never been to Blakeney. There’s a huge fountain with more seats next to Shake Shack, and there’s a kid’s playground, too. It would be a great outing for the family. Plenty of stores around for shopping, and a Harris Teeter around the corner for a quick...
Read moreUnfortunately service is lacking here. I walked in and was greeted with complete silence. My family came in after me and still not a peep from any of the four employees. Once our buzzer went off we looked around and eventually found our plates sitting at the far end of the counter behind the glass. My family and I stood there and literally waved at the employees but they couldn't be bothered to interrupt what must have been a riveting conversation even when looking directly at us several times. Finally one of them pointed at us to let someone else of their staff know we are waiting and they reluctantly halted their conversation to hand us the plates, again with no greeting at all. Crepes were delicious but dry. Hopefully one of their other locations can make up for the...
