BE CAUTIOUS. Before paid for your food, carefully review your check and verify they are not charging you items not ordered. Take a picture of the receipt signed and wait for your credit card company to verify they no charge more than what you agree to pay. While I was at the restaurant, one customer complained about extra charges, and after more than 20 minutes, finally, she received the refund. When I received my check, I noted they charged me for one of the sides that was supposed to be included in the main dish, or at least when I ordered the food; the waiter told me I could substitute any item in the main dinner for salad. When I called the waiter and asked for clarification, he told me no one requested clarifications for an additional dollar; in my case was about $4. After listening to his baseless explanation, I decided to pay the bill and told him next time to be transparent with the customer. Because I was not satisfied with his service, I was planning to pay no tips, but in the end, I gave him a 1 dollar. Before leaving the restaurant, I took a picture of the receipt just in case something happened. I was right. I walked to the parking lot, and when I was in my car, the waiter approached me and said I would charge an additional 18% tip. I returned to the restaurant and asked for the manager; he pointed to the other waiter, but unfortunately, the other waiter said I’m not the manager; if you need to talk with the owners, come back Friday. Because I insisted on talking with the manager the waiter said he would call the police because it’s a private place and I have no right to stay there. He said that he only charged 18% to people like me (by the way, I am a senior citizen.) Now I’m waiting for my credit card company to see the final amount charged; it is different from the amount I agreed to pay. I will file a dispute (remember I have a picture of the sighed check.) Probably I will contact the Charlotte BBB and file a complaint too. For now, I’m not planning to return to this food chain company, good food...
Read moreWe spent the Memorial Day weekend out of state. During our short vacation, we told our friends how much our daughters love Viva Chicken. Our friends told us, “if you like Viva Chicken, you will also enjoy Pio Pio in Blakeney. “
On our way home from a long drive, we therefore decided to try Pio Pio. My wife placed an order online. We arrived at Pio Pio at around 4:15 pm, Wednesday, June 2, 2020. As soon as I parked the car in front of the restaurant, my daughter said she wanted to go with her mom to pick up the order so she could use the restroom. I waited in the car with our other daughter. In less than a minute or two both my wife and daughter were heading back to our car. I was surprised. I asked my daughter if she was able to use the restroom. She said “no.” I was pulling away from the parking lot when I asked, “What happened?” My wife said, “I politely asked the cashier if we can use the restroom. She flatly said “no!” I said “What?!!! “ I was furious. I said, “You are a customer. How could she say that?” I could understand if the cashier politely said, “I’m sorry ma’am. The restroom is only for dine-in customers.” But flatly saying “no” to a customer is rude. I was initially planning on going back to the restaurant and confront the rude cashier. But my wife was able to calm me down, and my daughter just kept of saying “It’s ok dad. Our home is near.”
The owner/manager of this restaurant should teach his/her staff to learn basic customer service. We are not going to set foot on this restaurant again. I will share this very bad experience with every people I know...

Ordered a family meal but my son saw that they have a steak sandwich and asked to order it. I ordered it for him. Got home and discovered he was given a chicken sandwich. He returned to the restaurant to request for a change to he steak sandwich. My son doesn’t like chicken sandwiches so we would never have ordered that. He returned to inform the hostess of their mistake and she refused to change it. Insisted that I pointed to the picture on the menu of a chicken sandwich. Here’s the thing I pointed to the menu but asked for the steak sandwich. I didn’t even know that it could also be a chicken sandwich. I have never been to this restaurant at this location before and therefore I would not have known that we should have had a steak sandwich had I not asked for a steak sandwich. The sandwich on their menu apparently comes as a steak and a chicken. She assumed that I wanted the chicken. I couldn’t believe that she would have the meanness to send my child away with that chicken sandwich. We ordered $70 worth of food and I hope they enjoy that $70 because we will not eat there again. Terrible,...
