Me and three of my friends decided to dine in at Greco’s at Blakeney. We have been coming here since before they expanded, and we have visited all of Greco’s locations. We are huge fans, but after our recent experience, we won’t be back. We came in on Saturday 6/8 at around 8:45 pm, with the intention to dine in. There were patrons still eating inside. There are four of us, so we were looking at the menu. My sister and I proceed to order, and the cashier takes our order (protein bowl and shrimp pita). When we order, we tell the cashier that we want to sit outside, and she tells us that the restaurant is closed, so anything we order must be take out. We thought that was strange, but whatever. There are plenty of places to sit in the Blakeney area. All of a sudden, we hear from behind the partition, “Kitchen closed.” We ask the cashier if it’s okay to order and she proceeds to ask a tall female server. The server looks at the register and says to the cashier that since we ordered before 9pm, that we can order but our other two friends cannot. We inform her that we are ALL ordering together. The tall server says that is okay. When my two other friends order, they are informed by the cashier that the only thing they can order are gyros. They were ordering salads with protein (lamb) on top. Nothing that would require the flat top. The cashier then tells us that the kitchen staff cannot fix my shrimp pita nor my sister’s protein bowl, even though we ordered BEFORE 9pm. The cashier proceeded to tell us what we could and could not order, even though we were the ones paying for your food. I have worked in kitchens as a chef for years. I have always known and experienced that if a customer comes into an establishment to pay for service, the kitchen closes once the last customer in the restaurant has been served. If the restaurant wanted to close at exactly 9pm, then the doors should have been locked and the ‘open’ sign should have been turned off at 8:45pm. Highly disappointed with this situation and will never patronize your...
Read moreGreco's is one of the better Greek restaurants in South Charlotte. The seating and tables are of the 'grab a bite and scarf' variety but the food is of a much higher quality. As advertised, it is fresh and fast. Most of their Greek specialties are very good, but not outstanding. Their gyros are flavorful with good Tsasiki sauce, but they are only moderately sized and a bit stingy on the tomatoes and onions. Their baklava is excellent. One of their specialties is French fries. They have many types of seasonings for their Greek-style fries; they're fairly heavily herbed or spiced. If that sounds appealing you'll probably love them -- but start with a small order until you find the right seasoning. A large order of fries are meant for sharing with several hungry friends. You won't be sorry if you give them a try. They'll give you some fresh, fast and tasty reasons...
Read moreDelicious Greek food!! I recently dined at Greco Fresh Grille, and it was a delightful experience! The atmosphere was bright and casual, perfect for a quick yet satisfying meal. I opted for the chicken gyro bowl, which was packed with flavorful grilled chicken, fresh veggies, and a generous serving of tzatziki sauce. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, and the portion size was just right. I also tried their Greek salad, which was vibrant and crisp, with a delicious mix of olives and feta. The staff were friendly and efficient, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. To finish, I couldn’t resist the baklava, which was sweet and flaky. Overall, Greco Fresh Grille offers a fantastic selection of healthy Mediterranean dishes, and I can’t wait to return to try more...
