Hop Feng Kitchen — Restaurant in Charlotte

I'm not saying all of their food is garbage. Fried rice - Fresh/On Point. Egg rolls - they're iite. Other than the SESAME CHICKEN, I'm sure that they some other great entrees. I ordered sesame chicken here on 07/08.

The white meat sesame chicken that I upgraded mushy white paste looking stuff. No way it was real chicken. The grade of the meat was very poor and honestly, between the batter there was barely any chicken in there. I basically just had rice for dinner because i can't say that I had eaten any portion of chicken tonight. I'm 27, I've been to Chinese restaurants from mostly Charlotte, Belmont, Gastonia, and Mooresville, Rock Hill.

Just wanted to make everyone aware because I livid when I found out I would have to find something else for dinner tonight because I couldn't count on local Chinese to deliver REAL chunks of white chicken breast to fry and cover with some sauce and sesame seeds.

I'm writing because I don't believe this is a one time occurrence. This is probably just how they regularly do business and I would like it to change so I have a decent Chinese food option when I'm...

Lets start with the fact that, NOW, that the place accepts debit/credit, if it’s less than $10.00, there is a .50 charge. I don’t do places that dictate how I spend my money. Next, why is it that your eating utensils/sauces are still out for the public to pick through? Hop Feng owners, are you aware that COVID is still in existence? This is yellow rice. The rice is not yellow bc of chicken powder and there is no egg in it. What’s Chinese about yellow rice? The boneless ribs are more like pork shavings. In addtion, where on earth did you get these EXTREMELY small egg rolls? I called to express my displeasure with my food and I was hung up on. No attempt was made to accomodatw me....This was the first time that I did an order at Hop Feng on Little Rock Rd in Charlotte, NC. I had a take order for 4 people totaling $55.00. When I came to pick up my order, I observe that the atmosphere seem pleasant and the service was quick. When I open my order there was an enormus amount of yellow rice, and small amount of chicken chow mein. I call and mention my concern about the small serving of chow mein , and the perso gave me to 2 other people, the last who I thought was the manager.
