Luigi's is relatively small and generally packed during the lunch hour. That's if you can find parking. The plaza it's in has a handful of restaurants and some other stuff and there isn't nearly enough parking for busy times, and patrons are often waiting with their blinkers on for others to vacate spaces. You can park at the Walmart across the street if you think you can walk across, but people don't seem to notice other vehicles so a pedestrian may be in a lot of danger...
Luigis has a pretty big menu with a lot of options. I've tried salads, pizzas, and sandwiches and a couple apps, too. It's close to work and pretty fast, which I think is why we're there so often. The sandwiches are hot and taste fine, but not my favorite. And I don't know why I ordered a salad that one time, but it was exactly as advertised with lots of chicken but almost no vegetables other than iceberg lettuce.
The pizza slices are where the value is, though. Generally they have a lunch special of two slices of cheese and a drink for $7. You're talking about 1-2 sqft of pizza here. Toppings are charged extra per slice, though, and depending on what you're fancying it can balloon from a $7 meal to a $12 or more. May as well order a whole pie. Honestly, it's not the best pizza you're going to find in the area, but it's good. It's consistent, and if you're burying it in parmesan, peppers and oregano, you aren't looking for the nuances of...
Read moreSuch a disappointment because their location in Steele Creek is a night and day difference I ordered Uber Eats recently and one of my favorites popped up, so I got Luigi’s I did not realize until I looked at my order being delivered that it came from the location that is not steel Creek I wasn’t worried because I knew that it was from the same owner. However, upon arrival, my raviolis were burnt. I didn’t get any of the red sauce that my calzone should’ve came with or that should’ve came with the garlic knots and the garlic knots were literally swimming in grease. I have a picture. The bread was not eatable. It wasn’t edible at all. It was soaked I am terribly disappointed. The only thing that was good was the cannoli. Thank God that those are probably prepped. Won’t make the same mistake twice if you want good pizza go to the steel creek location. Maybe they just had an awful day, but it was just about everything was terrible. Made me so sad. Because I have talked such good things about this place. And then the least they could’ve done was thrown in the red sauce that was supposed to come with my calzone and garlic knots. I could’ve at least covered up the burnt Taste with that. I’m like literally pouting right now because I really really love this place and I’m so...
Read moreI wanted to say that your food is great and offer a suggestion... Your pizza slices are amazing and you do have a good lunch special going on ($6.45 for 2 cheese slices and a fountain drink). When you order that to-go, the slices are placed in a small box, fit perfectly, and you add parchment paper between the box and the pizza which keeps the bottom of the pizza from getting soggy. However, you do not use the paper when eating in at your tables. The slices are put directly on metal circular baking sheets and by the time you get to the second slice, the bottom is soggy. I'd like to kindly ask you to add the paper when dining in as it will keep the bottoms from getting soggy.
I did want to bring up something where I found some confusion. A plain cheese slice is $2.75, a pepperoni slice $3.00, a difference of .25 per slice. When you add pepperoni to both cheese slices on the special, it is .65 more per slice.
The girl at the register didn't really want to discuss it and I even made myself clear that I am not looking for money back, just that it doesn't make sense.
I usually tip but she was not friendly and forgot to give me my change. Normally, I'd say keep it.
Other than her and the confusion on the price,...
