This location is new on North tryon….., beautiful and upgraded inside… beautifully placed right where the light rail goes up and over and past it… new apartment complex in very convenient walking distance. Last night 2/27/22, I ordered two large fries…. I waited 20 MINUTES in the drive through and 10 minutes inside…
I was drawn because of the convenient location ….. NOBODY works here…. I’m with the pregnant lady’s comments online - who gets her breakfast here…. They don’t give you full instructions. Also what happened to the “ hi” …. “ hello”…. “ please” …. “ thank you”…..!???
I promise I woke the child up that took my order in the first place - The child never told me to pickup at the first or second window….so when I drove up to the next available window for pickup , it was suddenly as if I never placed and order , and I wasn’t even there… I watched the guy give my order to the car behind me …. I go in……. Receipt in hand …., NOBODY WORKS HERE. EMPTY INSIDE..,, prepare to be ignored!!!!…… 5 minutes after waiting …. I thought maybe go back to the drive through line…hmmm only 7 cars now….there were 8 cars 10 minutes ago ….. I went back in the drive through line….. fortunately no one drove in behind me…I waited …. But nahhhh
I decided to go back inside and jump over that counter and get my own fries…….
The child working in there ….. running around like a madman….. yells to me to “order on the kiosk”because he was “ THE ONLY ONE HERE”….. what?????…. Extremely long story short ( because there’s more)……I showed him my receipt and told him I did not receive my order in the drive through….. 30 minutes later finally got them two large fries that I had ordered ….. no napkins , no ketchup…and whyyyyyy is no one else working ??!!this is a 24 hour location…. Why I decided to give this location another try was simply my own ridiculousness.
My takeaways: Don’t stop here if you’re hungry- no matter what time of day or night

Don’t stop here if you’re from the generation of courteous and professional service
(From my first visit) even after you wait 30 minutes You will not have everything you ordered No matter what time of day , or night.
Pregnant ladies/ hormonal cravings bingers: don’t stop here at all … or you will feel like FIGHTING just to cure your craving for that milkshake /French fry combo…. Just…., go somewhere else …you gon be mad frfr coming here….
THERE WILL ALWAYS BE 10 cars in the drive through Do the math….. each car will wait about 15-20 minutes- no matter what time of day or night So if you’re the 11th car you will get your order at 4:30 this afternoon(🤣I’m exxagerating)…. But try it if you like🤷🏾♀️
I appreciate the new age of coming inside a restaurant, placing an order at a kiosk… the decor of this new location is very “ new McDonalds” looking … However this system , at this location does not seem to be successful. This is not the worst location in this area… it is however , THE OTHER WORST Location.

Read moreSeptember 11th at 546pm. I kept trying to get staff attention but they act as if they can’t hear. So I finally yelled at the top of my lungs and they got an attitude. My fries had no salt and I specifically ordered extra salt on them. It’s like they know and see you but they are not being attentive to the customers at the counter. Sub par customer service as always. I miss the old crew. These youngsters don’t care about customer care or service. Please fix or get a corporate call and a YouTube review. This is ridiculous. My quarter pounder looks very bare. I ordered extra toppings on it. It looks terrible. So far now this is the worst location and it’s a 24 hour spot. We spend our hard earned money here. And always having issues here. I used to work for McDonald’s and this spot has no type of organization whatsoever when it comes to their dine in customers.
12 August 2025, 810 pm. Drive thru. I used my app for a deal which consisted of 2 dollar large fries and I also ordered triple cheeseburger. Simple right, wrong. It took forever for this chic to get my order correct due to her not listening just running off at the mouth. Then I get my order no ketchup. Chic gives me 3 packets for a large order of fries. But this is where it gets greasy. I get home and realize my large fries ended up just being a large fry box with minimal French fries. This is not the first time this has happened with this new crew staff. I’m tired of dealing with this. You are robbing customers on a regular basis. Your prices are already higher than normal as is. I’m calling corporate in the morning.
Terrible service. This new crew is so bad. Serving raw burgers, toppings on burgers are old. Fries are cold and they can’t even get the drinks correct. Waited in drive thru for 30 minutes. I’m sorry but this location is doomed. Get the old crew back because these newbies are screening up big time. They need to leave the weed at home.management allows her young family members vape in the establishment. I explained that I had bronchitis and could they please take it outside. They were very disrespectful to me and management did nothing to uphold the establishment rules here. I really think corporate would love to hear about this experience on April 12,2025. The group closest to the wall. I’m definitely gonna be talking to corporate about this. This is the new crew that has been hired. I have been coming here for years. I asked why did I get only three fries if there was supposed to be four orders of fries the guy told me they ran out of the small size boxes for the french fries so therefore they gave me a large fry, but the purpose was. I had three meals with french fries and separately. I ordered a small fries they did not give me my small fries before ordering I asked if the ice cream machine was working because we wanted McFlurry they said it was not working. Unfortunately it was out of order while we were waiting on the drive-through to get our order. What is two people come out the inside with a sundae I thought the ice cream machine was not working so I guess that’s fine. I asked if I could get a caramel frappe and he said the machine wasn’t working they switch their hours to 24 hours and seven days a week. The summer is around the corner and the ice cream machine is not working and the caramel frappe machine is also not working, millions of customers they get they can fix their machines and buy a carton boxes for each french fries and if not just give everybody large for the french fries. I will have to cut down on McDonald’s from this location. Unfortunately I dislike that I ordered about Four orders of fries and only three and I asked and then he still did it so it’s OK Customer and I know they don’t care because they get more every day.
