Night Swim Roastery & Cafe — Restaurant in Charlotte

Ayyyeee!!! This place made my day!!! When you walk in you are greeted by the scents of Heaven!! It’s amazing. Next the barista, not sure of her name was she was super sweet and gave me patience and explanation when ordering. The restrooms are gender neutral, safe, fully stocked and clean. Then the roaster/machines on the side I found super intriguing and Rory- thank you so much, what an awesome human! Explained coffee and the process in detail that I could understand- it was definitely an intro, but extremely interesting nevertheless and allowed me to take some photos and video. The food and drinks were delicious. My partner had a blueberry muffin and I had the cereal milk matcha latte- so so sooo good. I asked for whipped cream as I was comparing to Starbucks- silly old me- Night Swim puts Starbucks to shame!!! One sip and no whipped cream necessary like literally so good!! The blue berry muffin is vegan- matter of fact I think everything is vegan there and my friend didn’t save me any- it was that good! lol.. i also had the everything bagel and seasonal chive cream cream. The bagel was a bit salty, but i like salt so that works for me. Someone else may say otherwise so heads up for that. I will not be returning. I walked here with my dog, we typically walk to thousand hills and everyday market loso (can’t recommended these two coffee shops enough!! Their coffee and customer service is top tier) When I walked in with my dog to order, which I made the bad decision of assuming my dog could come in - I was informed at the counter that my dog wasn’t allowed in. It truly was an honest mistake as I go to multiple coffee shops and dogs are allowed. None the less, I placed my order, even though they said they don’t offer whip cream (my dogs motivation for these walks lol), and they asked me to wait outside for my coffee. The lady at the counter said they would bring it out to me since they didn’t want me to come back in with the dog (mind you I was ordering to go). That’s all fine and understandable! However, I was outside for 25 minutes until I finally was fed up, walked in with said dog, and wouldn’t you know it, my (once was) hot coffee was sitting there. This place is not dog friendly, or even slightly accommodating to those who walk here with dogs, and the coffee is ok. I love visiting all the coffee shops in LoSo, but sadly this one is indefinitely...

I have been continually disappointed with the customer service/experience, or lack there of, at this location.

This is the second time in a row where I have waited 15+ minutes for my drink order while the particular individual fulfilling the orders apathetically plods along chatting with her cashier co worker, only to get orders wrong or “forget” to bring me my order after she asked that I wait outside with my dog (which I happily agreed to), in the lovely June hot and humid air. A singular drink should not take this long to fulfill unless you are working on sourcing the coffee beans to make the drink.

I love Night Swim coffee and want to continue to support them. However, if the customer service/experience at this location is not reviewed for opportunities to improve and deliver a better experience I will happily take my business and...
