We were here for a youth orchestra concert and I have to say I was pretty impressed. The theater felt professionally ran and had the same amenities and feel you get if you headed uptown to Blumenthal Theater --just on a slightly smaller scale.
The box office staff were very friendly and polite, and the theater was extremely clean, with a beautiful entrance and spacious foyer. There is parking immediately connected to the theater, and also parking up the street to the left for the CPCC campus. It was very easy to locate and find parking and parking was surprisingly free --perhaps I parked in the wrong spot and didn't get towed?!?!
Overall it was a fantastic experience and really enjoyed the venue. There are a couple of restaurants immediately connected to the theater, a Sbarro's and a Mexican fast-food spot, which honestly I'd avoid, they weren't that great of an experience --there is a separate review for those. Aside from that,...
Read moreHorrible experience! Been here many times. Drove 40 miles to see "The Wedding Singer". Lorrie argued that she called and/or emailed every ticket purchaser earlier today. I politely told her I hadn't gotten an email nor phone call. She continued to say "well, I called". Like everyone else's phone, my phone keeps a list of incoming and outgoing calls. The number she says she called from did not show up on my phone. I asked the ladies behind us (that drove from Concord) if they had got a phone call or email and they answered no. As we waited for a refund, 8 more people were in line, finding out for the first time that the show was canceled. I guess she is going to continue to tell each person she called and/or emailed them? The theater needs to do some serious re-training and work on finding more appropriate employees for...
Read moreThis theater was really quite beautiful inside. It seems perfect for any midsize theatrical event or performance. All the frills of a larger venue with fewer seats to fill. The acoustics were great, the stage lighting was phenomenal, and the sound system seemed well balanced for the venue. It was quite easy to get in and out through various points of access, and the parking lots were convenient for those capable of walking. I imagine those with walkers or wheel chairs might be best dropped off at the...
