I love how almost every greenway in Charlotte is connected. This connects to Freedom Park and walks through the Metropolitan Shopping Center. At lunch time, you can take a walk and grab something to eat then stop at Target on your way back. It is so clean and well maintained plus people are very conscious of others using the greenway. There are amazing little pockets here and there, plenty of parking. It is a favorite spot for photo shoots, professional or not. Bike, run, have a picnic, use the playground at the Freedom Park, bring your kids, come alone. It’s perfect either...

Been there three times since it's started getting warm. It's a beautiful place to go sit in swings and have a beautiful scenery to look at. I have to say all three of those times I've noticed homeless people are hanging out around the steps going into park at 4th and Kings drive . The last time as I sat with my grandson two of the men started fussing with each other so we cut our visit short. Several of the men took off their shirts, shoes, socks and washed off in the shoot up fountains. I am so hoping this park can remain a clean safe place for...

Love this place.... And so will your dog! It's a nice escape from the concrete jungle... Lulu loves sniffing all the flowers.... They give her flower power... At least that's what she says when she's dreaming... She doesn't really know that she talks in her sleep but that's what I have deciphered so far. Elizabeth Park is fine it's got a lot of electrical towers it's still a very social inner urban place but she loves it because she gets to see people and animals and flowers.... So there.... Do yourself a favor and take your dog for a walk in...

I was visiting from out of town and found this park on Google and I’m definitely not mad that I did. This part is wonderful very clean very safe. At least I felt safe lol I would definitely recommend this part to anybody that has kids or anybody that likes to walk or just like the scenic view it actually has some history about the part that you can read about whether you want to read about the past or not but i definitely would say go check out the park

Excellent!!! I recommend 100 % it. Elizabeth began to develop rapidly after 1902, when a trolley line was completed, and was annexed in 1907. Home of Independence Park, the first public park in the city, Elizabeth became one of the most fashionable residential areas in Charlotte in its early days. In 2006 Elizabeth had a population of 3,908.

It was so much more than I thought. Great for everyone. Dog walkers, bike riding, romantic walks, But the walkway underground should not be explored alone. However, I felt very safe here. I saw no police or security presence.
