Just a brutal experience. We stopped in on Feb 22nd around 3pm, the place as expected, was dead. Our waitress disappeared and we were left sitting there with no one to take our order. I had to summon a waitress from the other side of the dining room, and have her track down our waitress, eventually she came out of the kitchen area and took our order. I had the salad bar as an add-on, and it was VERY disappointing. All the selections had been picked over from the lunch time crowd, and nothing had been replenished. STRIKE # 1. I ordered the 1/2 rack of ribs, and a chicken sandwich to go. Since i was eating it later, i requested the sauce on the chicken sandwich to be put "on the side". On the way to the rest room, I reminded the waitress of this a second time as she rang in the order.1/2 an hour went by, and still no food. STRIKE #2. Eventually our food came out about 35 minutes later. Again, at 3 in the afternoon it wasn't busy at all . The ribs were dry and tough, and the chicken sandwich was SMOTHERED in sauce. STRIKE # 3. I called the waitress back over and questioned why, after being told twice, was the sauce not put on the side ? She took my order back to the kitchen. As luck would have it, the manager ( A grey haired older white woman) was having a staff meeting a few tables over. I took that opportunity to get up 1/2 way thru my meal, and explain to all of them what had happened, and how they needed to be more aware of customer concerns, as well as not making people wait more than 1/2 an hour for their food even though the restaurant was dead. . The manager thanked me, and sent one of her staff to address the chicken sandwich issue with the cook. Eventually the cook came out herself with my chicken sandwich. All the condiments were on the side, and she apologized. Third time's a charm I guess, perhaps the cook has a learning disability and needs to be told things 3 times, I'm not sure. I would avoid this restaurant at all costs, the staff don't care about customer service, and the manager clearly was clueless as to what was happening on her watch. An overall disappointing experience, one that has in fact completely turned me off any Ruby Tuesday's for the...
Read moreHad lunch with my family; we were greeted at the door by an employee (male). I immediately noticed the 91 sanitation grade. I asked for a booth (more comfortable for my mom). We were sat by the window under a speaker; my brother asked our server, the same guy that sat us, if the music could be turned down - it was a bit loud. He acted like it was an inconvenience and or didn't know how to do it. My brother had to ask a second time; eventually it was low enough to where we could have a conversation. I looked around the restaurant, it was very slow for it to be around 12:30; we were one of four tables. We all ordered the salad bar; by the looks of the upkeep of the bar - I can see where part of that 91 grade came from. A little disappointed with the set up: browning lettuce, containers that were half full and the counters needed a good wipe down. The variety of the selection was a little disappointing.. Our server seemed to be a little bored and felt the need to chat us up at our table. My brother did ask a few questions - but it got to be a little long winded. My brother had placed his water glass towards the edge of the table -- the server did not pick up on that cue that he needed more water; eventually my brother had to ask. When we left, there was no one at the door to thank us for coming; if there was a manager on duty - we never saw him or her. This was probably the first time I have dined out and NO manager did a table visit. Maybe that's not something that Ruby Tuesday's does. Well, I doubt I will return; we chose R.T. because it was something different for our mom...
Read moreI normally do not do this as I know that the service industry is in a slump sense vivid however, corporate needs to hear and address if they want to save faith of their branding in this area. I was in town for business. The locations in Charlotte was right next door to my hotel. When I asked for dinning the first night I was informed by the hotel “not to visit” which I thought was odd. However I went elsewhere which required me to get in car and drive 10 minutes. Next night I did not want to drive so came in, sat at bar and I waited while I watched 3 people behind the bar joke and cut up with each other for 20 minutes. Not one of them asked he if I wanted anything as they passed me by 4 different times so I go up and left. Leaving I noticed that there was only 7 clients in entire restaurant. 2 days later wanted to stay close to hotel again so decided to give it a second chance. Finally got my order taken, 6 people in restaurant, 3 at bar. Once I got their attention I ordered a cocktail which the bartender did not know how to make (martini). One of the other patrons at bar was telling her how to make it which it still was not made correct when I received. Where is management in the branch? Tonight I have watched everyone in here for dinner get up and come to bar begging for help, a check, or service. I don’t do this to complain. I do this to hopefully inform, and hope that it gets to them, the executives, that there is a branch that is blemishing their brand and I don’t think that it is the bartenders or servers fault. I do not think they know any better. Shame on management...
