Want and honest review? Here’s your honest review. I Chose Hampton inn & suites arrowood due to convenience of why I was in Charlotte and because I frequent the Hilton chain regularly as a Hilton honors member. I am almost never disappointed with Hilton properties until now. I chose a suite because I was staying for a week and wanted to make sure I had plenty of room to spread out and have a "kitchenette" to cook and or warm food in as most Hampton inn and "suites" have (atleast every other one I've stayed at). This is far from a suite. You have a sink that is full of what I hope are rust spots and some black substance dotted all over the bottom. , not 100% what it was due to fear and maybe l'm better off not knowing what it was. There isn't a single reusable cup in the "suite", they don't have a sponge or dish soap available in the suite or at guest services as most suites do. I came to realize I didn’t have a suite as defined by most every other hotel, I merely have a larger room with no benefits. Let’s move on to my attempt to use the microwave. This was nearly an impossible task because the door won't even open 1/2 way to get food in the darn thing, I finally got my food in there and as it was warming up my supper the microwave started to put off a burning smell that was beyond strong. Well I wonder why? Maybe because the microwave is shoved in a cabinet opening barely big enough for it. Anyone with sense knows a microwave needs to exhaust and it does that from the sides but this one can't because it's shoved into a cabinet spot way too small so it doesn't work properly and begins to burn up the unit. The wallpaper is peeling from the wall in the bathroom and I'm not even sure what is on the ceiling and wall in the bathroom. Blood maybe! Again better off not knowing. Needless to say I will not being going to this Hampton again and for the price you can get a better place in this same area. Lets talk about the carpet being nasty, puke!! The continental breakfast was sub par at best with soggy French toast sticks and Luke warm coffee. The only person with a positive thing to say the entire time or positive attitude is the lady who work's downstairs during breakfast (maybe her name was Pat) she was very nice, always said hello and always asked if you need anything.
Please do better Hilton, this location does not represent your brand well. I would have mentioned something to the hotel staff but any other time I spoke to someone downstairs it was as if I was interrupting their day and not like they would care about my displeasure. I overheard another guest voicing their displeasure and the staff took it as if they were offended and the display of customer service was very negative and lacking. So much for the “Hilton Promise”...

SMOKE FREE FACILITY! The hotel does offer a gazebo around the back of the hotel away from guest as ab area for smokers outside, and the private location location is so nice and peaceful . Animals aren't allowed, but can be brought if special provisions are need and met. Call the front desk prior to your stay ro make arrangements Always love the stays here! They have an amazing breakfast, a BEAUTIFUL. ..King Deluxe Suites that includes, a separate master suite room (King bed, flatscreen television, double closet, safe box w/password, and cable including HBO +MANY OTHER CHANNELS separate from the living area and kitchen. Just did some upgraded, so the room offer a mini kitchen with coffee maker,microwave, mini fridge /freezer , large kitchen sink, table and chairs. 2 person size walk-in shower, a jacuzzi tub with jets in this SUPERSIZED SPACIOUS bathroom , Computer Room,conference rooms, outdoor pool with handicapped access, $1 washer and dryer for guests. However the option to be lazy and have the hotel do you laundry for you, is also offered at reasonable rates. They offer discounts for AAA members and many more discounts and specials especially if you are a Hilton Honors reward member. You can join Hilton Honors for free and earn free night stay after 2 nights visit. Download the app on your smart device to digitally check in without the hassel of front desk check in/out. This great app will also acted as your room key! You never need to worry about loosing your key again. As long as you have check in digitally on the app, you have the key until the day you check out! Enjoy a nice fitness room or sit in the lobby next to the fireplace to enjoy a book, newspaper, or television as you watch the family swim outside. Not sure how they could possibly make it any more amazing, at such great prices. They also offer free tickets to Paramount Carowinds with one of there room offers and includes a shuttle bus. FEEL FREE TO ASK ME ANYTHING YOU MAY NEED OR WANT TO KNOW ABOUT THIS HOTEL . I have been a guest here since 2012. SEE MICHAEL. . HE IS THE GM HERE. LET HIM KNOW TARA STEWART RECOMMENDED YOU STAY. Read moreI wish I could rate a zero this hotel stay was a nightmare. Came to have a quick staycation 10/26-27 for my anniversary but instead had to deal with horrible customer service and a bug infested room. Started as soon as I walked in to the hotel the manager was to busy on the phone to acknowledge me. Then a front desk clerk started her shift and started helping me after waiting 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge me. I had already checked in on the app paid picked my room and all I needed to do was sign. Sounds simple enough guest not. Then I asked the clerk for cups and plates was told to go into a dark closed off room. Advised the clerk could not see any so she tried to give me directions but ended up going to get them. Which she practically threw the plates at me and had a horrible attitude. I didn’t make a thing out of it was tired from doing a walk with my family. So me and my significant other went to our room the app didn’t unlock the door nor did the keys. So we called down to have someone come up to help us since I was still sore. A very kind housekeeper let us in our room until someone could come up. As she let us in she told the front desk and the rude clerk decided to put on the walkie talkie that I didn’t feel like coming downstairs as if I was lazy. So I went downstairs to find out why she said what she said she didn’t reply and surprise I could hear here. The manager pulled me in the back to discuss my concerns while talking to them my significant other was inspecting the room and seen several bugs all over the room. I bring it to the manager’s attention she changed my room. But did not credit or compensate anything for my stay. We already booked the one bedroom king suite so she couldn’t upgrade me. I called and left her a message and never was called back nor seen any changes made. I gave them more than enough time to correct the issue but I have to warn people of this place. We usually stay at Embassy Suites but tried this hotel for the whirlpool tub. It was not worth it and needs serious upgrades, dusting and pest control ASAP. Here are pictures from our stay I kept them to send to Hilton directly about the service. There were more bugs than in the pictures and when I told the manager she advised me that it happens often at that hotel and we had to inspect the other room to make sure none were there as well....
