Overall not happy with the experience. I found this new place and convinced hubby to pick us up some din after a long days work. Lips were all tuned up based off the reviews to then receive my food and feel overcharged and underfed. This was my first time here, I spent $70 and received a plate size that was not worth the price. I expected a platter. Fill the tray up. Why can I get a stuffed plate/box from other places like captain steve, or Mr C and get my plate cinched at a black business. Stop trying to get over on the community. The flavor was alright but was lied to that the cakes were made fresh that day and they most certainly were not. They should have thrown them cakes in on the house or told the truth, not G someone up to make a sale. They were either burnt or stale. Way too hard. Sooo my first and last time here. We need to start cooking at home again. This world has become about a dollar. MY EXPERIENCE I ordered take out, two entres, came with fries, no drink for $37.
Ordering Online / The Menu(s) Pretty easy experience online. However, the way the menu is set up, it's not so obvious that there are 3 different menus i.e., breakfast, lunch, all day. Also, when you select an entre, it lists the sides as "optional +$5." I didn't select because $5 but it seems that you will get fries no matter if you make a selection so low key a nice suprise. I'd recommend highlighting that when listing the entre, still.
The Food Now, I gave my experience 2 stars because the entres were inedible. The fish sandwich was tough, chewy, and boney, like bon-ey! The flavor was also off. Literally couldn't finish. The salmon bites just didn't taste good. The sweet and sour type sauce that comes with them helped a bit but still, they ended up going to the waste bin. The fries were alright.
The In-Person Service I encourted two people. The lady seemed in a rush but life comes at you fast so no worries there. The gentleman who handed me the food seemed nice so overall, the customer service was fine.
CONCLUSION Perhaps this restaurant is known for a different type of dish and I should've tried that instead. I don't think I'll be trying anything else from the menu due to me getting the two items I'd likely repeat and them not being good.

My expectations were high based on their ravings of it. Unfortunately, I feel I was let down. I ordered the fish and shrimp with hush puppies, coleslaw, and a side salad. The shrimp was amazing, but the fish was extremely overcooked and was borderline dry. I was so mad that the cup of coleslaw was only in a condiment container. It felt like legit 2.5 bites. It was really good and wish they offered more, especially when paying $22 for this.
Outside of the food, the service was very disappointing. The woman who took my order seemed distracted. I was placing my order with her, and in the middle of me giving her my order, she answers a call on her phone through her headphones 🤨. Yeah, wasn’t too happy about that. I ordered a plain cheeseburger for my daughter and it came out wrong. Made me wonder if it was an error on her part or a true oversight on the cook. My loctician and the other stylists explained that the service is typically better but apparently the owner (Stephanie) had been out for a while.
