Where do I start? It was my birthday on July 19th, and I wanted a tres leches cake for it, so I did my research and found this place. (FYI, they require orders for cakes at least one week in advance but can make accommodations if you need it sooner.) Anyways, I ordered it and brought it home. As soon as I sliced into the cake, I already knew it was going to be good.

When I took the first bite, let me tell you, it was single-handedly the best tres leches cake I have ever had in my life. It was rich, creamy, decadent, moist—everything you could want in a tres leches cake. It’s the kind of cake you have to lock up in a safe because every bite leaves you craving more. It was sweet but not overly so, striking the perfect balance—at least for me.

I ended up paying $68.58 with taxes included. Some may think this is too much for a cake (like my mom), but at the end of the day, when it comes to cakes, I'd rather pay almost $70 for a high-quality cake and be satisfied than $20 for a low-quality one and be unsatisfied.

P.S. I also got some miscellaneous items like their Oreo cookie, cinnamon coffee cake, and chocolate chip cookie with a chocolate bar in the middle. That cookie was insanely good; it easily ranks as the second best cookie I've ever had in my life—10/10 (I'm not even going to lie, if I had more of the Chocolate chip cookies, I would've eaten them all that night 😭😭). The Oreo cookie was a little too sweet for me—7/10, but the cinnamon coffee cake was good too—8/10.

Overall, I highly recommend this place and will definitely be doing business with them...

Tried to set up a large order with this bakery since my office just moved into the neighborhood and I thought it would be a fun treat for staff. Unfortunately, their customer service is ABYSMAL…..which is starting to feel typical for these cutesy Charlotte area businesses. I followed their process for placing an order, received an email letting me know I could choose from four flavors for the cookie jar unless I wanted “dealers choice” which is where the bakery chooses the flavors. That didn’t seem correct but the catering contact didn’t leave a number so I called to ask a few follow up questions. The girl on the phone was beyond rude so, rather than snap back at her, I let her get it out of her system. Then, when I let her know that I would just follow up via email as that’s their stated preference instead of saying thank you, have a nice day, anything like that, she just abruptly hung up in my ear. I’m honestly considering calling back to just cancel the order because I don’t trust a bakery where the staff is that rude. I’ve been to other bakeries in the Charlotte area with staff that is just much nicer, much friendlier, and far more professional; I’d rather give them the business...

I wish a took a pic of the food but ate it too quick. It's that good. I love finding new spots around Charlotte and someone mentioned this place to me. I got an oatmeal cream pie and a chocolate peanut butter brownie. I started with the cookie, it was amazing. The next day I ate the brownie. Honestly probably the best brownie I've ever had. The brownie was thick, dense, fudgy in the middle with a flakey top and had a great balance of chocolate and peanut butter. The girl working the counter was very friendly and pleasant to talk to. Couldn't be happier. I'll be back for sure.

On a side note, to the person who gave a 3 star review, I think your reasoning for giving a 3 star review is unfair. You're upset because a place is popular and sold out of their product that is made fresh daily. It's your own fault. Don't go online and try to hurt a business because of your poor planning. Having to wait an hour for your treats because a business is popular and has a lot of customers is not a fault of theirs. I hope you're having a better day today than the day you wrote your review and attempted to hurt this fine...

We've ordered from The Batch House on numerous occasions, so when we got engaged, the obvious choice was to order our cakes from them for our wedding! Scorned by many a sad, dry grocery sheet cake, people seem to have a thing against cake, which makes me sad. I knew if our guests had The Batch House's cake, their minds would change. Though The Batch House doesn't do conventional wedding cakes, we elected to order five different cakes — and transport them across the state line (yes, they're really that good). All flavorful, fun, and moist, they were quickly devoured by our guests, many of whom made it their personal quest to try every flavor. The caterer had to wash extra cake plates mid-way through the reception because they had run out! Cris was such a delight to work with and the whole Batch House crew made our day that much more special.

We ordered a strawberry shortcake for a birthday celebration, and it was absolutely delicious! This was our first time trying this bakery, and we were so impressed — not just with the generous size of the cake, but also with its perfect texture. The cake was thick but moist, and flavorful, and the strawberry filling and topping was not overly sweet. It’s really nice with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a cup of warm tea. We’ve had our share of disappointing cakes in the past, from well known bakeries in CLT (I never out the bad, just praise the good) but this one truly stood out. We’re so glad we gave this bakery a try — it’s definitely our new go-to for special occasions. I’m also looking forward to trying their other baked goods — I’ve heard great things about their cookies!

There are many styles and preferences when it comes to baked goods, but the Batch House is the place to go when you desire perfection. They do not offer 50 selections, but every element of every offering has been noticeably toiled over until faultless. You can purchase 15 different sweet treats all baked exactly how each should be, with fun flavor combos that are distinct and harmonious. If you have eaten at multiple other "unnamed cookie places" and always feel meh because you like the idea of the flavor combos but the execution is always horrible, you will fall in love with Batch House. Selections start at $3+ but I labeled $10-$20 per person because I cannot fathom how anyone leaves here spending less. P.S. I think the strawberry pistachio cookie got me pregnant.
