I usually reccomend this Sushi place even though it can be a bit expensive in my opinion. I always tell my friends that they have good quality food and you're always full when leaving. But because of tonight's experience, I will no longer reccomend them unless their are some changes. Tonight I noticed on my receipt that there was an automatic gratatuity of 15%. I didn't remember seeing a note on the menu about this. If I somehow missed a note or sign somewhere, then that's my fault. I have no problem with paying an automatic gratatuity due to my failure to notice it. So then I asked a server if there was a note printed on the menu or a sign posted that I may have missed, just so I know next time. The server sheepishly admitted there was no posted info or note anywhere mentioning the automatic gratuity charge. I told them that, that is wrong of them not to tell their customers and asked for it to be taken off. The server says it can't be taken off because the owner changed the system so that the gratuity can't be removed. I asked if there was a manager who could assist. However the server said there aren't any managers on shift at the time. I told the server that if they could show me where they notified customers that an automatic gratuity is charged, then I would leave the bill as it is. But he just continued to tell me that it's automatic on their system. Finally, he calls over the server who took care of my table. She tells me the same thing the other server told me and asks what I wanted from them. So I told them that I would like them to remove the charge for the gratatuity. The lady was upset. I could hear her say under her breathe that she doesn't want me to come back again. Finally she hands me cash for the gratatuity they charged me. And I had to ask for a copy of my receipt. I would have understood if this automatic gratatuity was printed/posted somewhere noticeable or that it was because I had a large party, but there was only me and my friend. I'm not sure when they started the automatic gratatuity but I know for sure they never use to charge it. Until they post a sign up about this charge, I don't reccomend anyone going to this restaurant.

The server or this restaurant charged me(gave themself) an extra $5 than what was on the receipts. I clearly wrote, Total: $115.61, Tip:$15.00. I called and asked for a manager but the employee or whoever I spoke with, said that the manager was out. That person also wouldn't give out any names and I was like, well who is running the restaurant then? Anyways, I was told to send a photo copy of the receipt to a random phone #. Shortly after I received a text suggesting to pick up the money in person or give them my mailing address for checks. I told myself it was pointless to pick up the money in person because it would just be a waste of gas and time. I didn't want to take any risks either by giving my mailing address out as my phone # has already been compromised. So I decided to be the bigger person and let it go because they need it more than I do. I have trust issues now. Other than that, service was okay, food was okay, place is crowded. I think the handling of the situation was poor and unprofessional. Probably not going here again. People nowadays be getting robbed blind, so watch out and always check your account after eating out.

I'm really sad about having to make this review 😞 My friend didn't want to recommend this place but we wanted to give it a chance. The first order we had was delicious! They gave sooo much steak in the hibachi meal, the sushi was delicious and so was their side soup! We tried it a second time, and it wasn't as good as the first order, but we thought maybe it was from ordering something else. This is our third time and we got what we ordered in our first visit and...wow. I ordered a medium steak and it was RAW inside, it was cold, and it only came with 6 pieces despite the $14+ price. The noodles and rice tasted on the gross side, and the sushi wasn't anywhere close to as good as the first time at all. We thought we finally found a reliable sushi and hibachi place to go to but 20 dollars for mid sushi and 14 dollars for 6 pieces of steak is just not worth it. I'm sorry but ✌️

Simply the best sushi in the Twin Cities!! Absolutely phenomenal presentation and delicious flavors. Every roll I've tried of theirs is delicious. Not to mention, most of their sushi can be made gluten free, and they also offer gluten free soy sauce. Their Philly roll is made with crunchy cucumber instead of avocado, it's a unique twist and it's really good! Their weekday lunch special is an incredible deal. My personal favorite is the Sushi Lunch, you get 2 orders of sushi (12 rolls) and miso soup for $8.95! Not only do they have delicious sushi, they also have excellent hibachi meals and sides which are great options for kids (noodles, fried rice, side of chicken, white rice, salmon, steak, etc). The atmosphere is intimate and comfortable, perfect for a lunch date or a family night out. Highly recommended!!

Decent restaurant with a great happy hour! The staff were very nice and attentive and the atmosphere was comfortable. Food-wise it was not the best quality sushi—in particular the salmon sushi (nigiri) was not to my liking—but their rolls were satisfactory, albeit the one I ordered was a little heavy on the cream cheese. This said, I did think their gyoza was quite good! Plus their happy hour made everything a great deal (including the tasty drinks we ordered). Although I’d personally stick with their rolls and hot food, overall I think this is a solid spot if you're in the area!

Overall it was very good service and food! We absolutely loved our sushi! It was quality sushi and definitely delicious! In the photo the bottom sushi is the BMW and the top one in the photo is there Rainbow Sushi. We definitely will be coming back for some more sushi. But on the other hand the Hibachi Steak & Shrimp Dinner, the Steak was absolutely raw and so chewwy I couldn't even hardly choke it down. I was very disappointed in the Steak but everything else was great!
