I usually reccomend this Sushi place even though it can be a bit expensive in my opinion. I always tell my friends that they have good quality food and you're always full when leaving. But because of tonight's experience, I will no longer reccomend them unless their are some changes. Tonight I noticed on my receipt that there was an automatic gratatuity of 15%. I didn't remember seeing a note on the menu about this. If I somehow missed a note or sign somewhere, then that's my fault. I have no problem with paying an automatic gratatuity due to my failure to notice it. So then I asked a server if there was a note printed on the menu or a sign posted that I may have missed, just so I know next time. The server sheepishly admitted there was no posted info or note anywhere mentioning the automatic gratuity charge. I told them that, that is wrong of them not to tell their customers and asked for it to be taken off. The server says it can't be taken off because the owner changed the system so that the gratuity can't be removed. I asked if there was a manager who could assist. However the server said there aren't any managers on shift at the time. I told the server that if they could show me where they notified customers that an automatic gratuity is charged, then I would leave the bill as it is. But he just continued to tell me that it's automatic on their system. Finally, he calls over the server who took care of my table. She tells me the same thing the other server told me and asks what I wanted from them. So I told them that I would like them to remove the charge for the gratatuity. The lady was upset. I could hear her say under her breathe that she doesn't want me to come back again. Finally she hands me cash for the gratatuity they charged me. And I had to ask for a copy of my receipt. I would have understood if this automatic gratatuity was printed/posted somewhere noticeable or that it was because I had a large party, but there was only me and my friend. I'm not sure when they started the automatic gratatuity but I know for sure they never use to charge it. Until they post a sign up about this charge, I don't reccomend anyone going to this restaurant.

I came here for dinner with my family a few days ago. My food was absolutely delicious. The shrimp tempura was amazing and including the vegetables. The sushi and roll were also pretty good from the salmon lover. The onion soup was really good. The salad dressing was absolutely horrid though, and they had no other dressing options. My mother‘s food took almost an hour to come to the point where she was just gonna cancel the food order and then the food was magically ready a minute later after she complained. I think it was made, they forgot who it belonged to and it was just kind of sitting out. When my mom got her food, she said it was absolutely disgusting. I was alarmed because you can’t really mess up lobster but it was in fact disgusting as I tried it. She barely ate any of her food and tossed the rest when she got home. She wasn’t gonna say anything but after I suggested she say something they gave her a seven dollar discount on this almost $20-30 plate. She ate maybe 30% of the food as a woman who is overweight and not picky. My experience was overall great between the server and the food. I will say that the floor near the bathroom was sticky, which was disgusting. Overall, I won’t go out of my way to come here after seeing my mom’s experience as she came over 40 mins from home and I also live 40 mins away. If it’s all that’s open I would recommend the sushi/shashmi/rolls and tempura only.

The server or this restaurant charged me(gave themself) an extra $5 than what was on the receipts. I clearly wrote, Total: $115.61, Tip:$15.00. I called and asked for a manager but the employee or whoever I spoke with, said that the manager was out. That person also wouldn't give out any names and I was like, well who is running the restaurant then? Anyways, I was told to send a photo copy of the receipt to a random phone #. Shortly after I received a text suggesting to pick up the money in person or give them my mailing address for checks. I told myself it was pointless to pick up the money in person because it would just be a waste of gas and time. I didn't want to take any risks either by giving my mailing address out as my phone # has already been compromised. So I decided to be the bigger person and let it go because they need it more than I do. I have trust issues now. Other than that, service was okay, food was okay, place is crowded. I think the handling of the situation was poor and unprofessional. Probably not going here again. People nowadays be getting robbed blind, so watch out and always check your account after eating out.

Our full order did not arrive all in one go. In an attempt to get the full order we ended up having to pay GH's service fee (the restaurant did offer to reimburse us for a california roll and driver tip in the form of a gift card if we ordered the california roll to get the wasabi) and the second time WE NEVER GOT THE ORDER and when we called to report the restaurant told us they would do nothing about it.

(I would add here that we never use grubhub, preferring restaurants keep 100% of their profits, be we are covid positive and were hoping to commemorate first mother's day since new baby's arrival)

We waited for 2 hours for them to correct their original error and get us wasabi and pickled ginger. These are two things we really expect to receive in any sushi order (and have ordered from 3 different sushi restaurants during the pandemic, just to try, and have never NOT gotten wasabi or ginger). And it was an epic fail, that ended without getting the wasabi, the pickled ginger, and having spent about $20 more total for them NOT to fix their mistake.

Honestly, even if we had gotten our order, simply giving us wasabi and ginger would not have reimbursed us our time, not to mention the additional service fee (they did, to be fair, pay the tip and the california roll we had to order for a driver to come back out) that was caused because due to an error on their part.

If I could sum this restaurant up in a word, it would be "stingy." You can see from the photos that they jam the sushi in so close that the rice from one roll comes off on another. You can also see that they don't use enough seaweed to actually close their rolls from the maki roll below. If you eat anything larger than the tuna/salmon maki, the roll snaps in half. We ate here once before (but were trying it a second time as we really hoped this would be "the" spot for sushi since moving here to Chaska) and they also placed a hot roll with a cold one, so that by the time my husband got home with the order, the roll that was supposed to be cold was warm.

Unfortunate because the actual flavor combos are creative and the food does not taste bad. However, hard to spend money in a place that clearly does not do right by its customers.

Overall, quality and customer service = lacking. Taste = on par for a sushi restaurant...
