At the end of the day the food still tastes the same as I remember from 34 years ago, Good, constant, and priced reasonably. This basically signifies, if nothing else that Perkins definitely has a lock on consistancy! In todays time finding consistency in anything is far & inbetween, so If one happens to find something or someone with any semblance of consistency, you better make it a point to get as much of it or them as possible, because there is a good chance that it/they may not be around to long! Ultimately Perkins still has that down home, good ol' family feel that makes you appreciate the importance of friends, family, good food, and being in good company! Keeping things simple and consistent has the power of keep you relevant in a noisy and crowded space. When me and wifey sat down eat and finished our meal I decided we must try this again. I wanted to be sure that I wasn't imagining. Yep the second time I was sure, I wasn't imagining anything! Read moreJuan the manager is a jerk. I ordered delivery off their website the other day. 10 minutes past delivery time, nothing had arrived, so I called the restaurant and asked where it was. There wasn’t any way for me to track it from the website. Juan kept denying the store had gotten any orders for delivery at first. Then he finally entered the order number and saw it. He then says it’s delivered through DoorDash. I told him I ordered it off the Perkins website, not DoorDash. So then, he said he could either get in contact with the dasher or refund the money I paid for the order. I said I’d like a refund because it’d be cold by now. He said ok and said I would be getting a confirmation email for the refund. I agreed to this and hung up. Four hours went by and no confirmation refund. I called the store back wondering what’s going on. Juan tells me he contacted the driver and the driver said it was dropped off. But there was nothing at my house. I kept telling Juan I didn’t receive anything and asked why we concluded that he would refund me for the order the first time we spoke. He lied to me the first time and did not refund me. I made sure he processed the refund this second time now while I was still on the phone with him. What a jerk!! And he kept talking over me the whole time and saying dismissive remarks like “yeah, yeah, yeah.” So rude and unprofessional.
