good food, good service. CARRY OUT IS A MUST!!! but s* happens so i can understand the bad reviews here.
i just moved to the area and my friends & family were kind enough to help. As is tradition, i had to buy them pizza. So i went with my closest option, which is the SARPINO'S downstairs, below my building. I had about 6-8 people to feed so i ended up ordering 4 pizzas, all different. the lady working was really kind and helped me find the best coupon they had to save me money (which was about $20 in savings) the food was DELICIOUS!!! 4 pizzas were done in 20 minutes, for carry out, thats pretty dang good. -spinach special 4/5 -tuscany 5/5 !! -2 custom orders 5/5 everybody was really pleased and i was very impressed with the menu. It's huge which makes me skeptical of consistency with items but the pizza was spot on.
AND!!!!! i just got home late from work, and was on the computer. SUPER hungry so i was reading some reviews of where i could grab some food late and i thought again about sarpinos. im not big on personal pizza AND THE REVIEWS FOR THIS PLACE ARE TERRIBLE. i was really shocked that the place i had gotten good food and service from, was the worst place in town apparently. but, im lazy and hungry so i said hell, why not....
-the guy who helped me was an awesome older gentlemen, very respectful and had great rapport with me and another customer picking up their order -yet again they hooked me up with a coupon he suggested the cheesy bread, and, it's not disappointing! food was hot and ready in a very timely manner, even though my order was one of many THE OLD GUY HOPPED ON MY LONG BOARD!!! and actually held up, which was impressive. i am very satified.
i understand pizza places can be the worst sometime,. but that comes down to staffing. and really, it's hit or miss with most eateries these days. Sarpino's has been been a hit the both times ive been there. it doesn't look like they have ton of drivers staffed at night, and i can assume once the drunk calls start coming in it can be a but much.
im gonna stop typing or my food is...

I ordered a couple pizzas using an online gift card. The card didn't cover the total cost so I paid for the rest with a debit. I will fully admit I made a mistake as the "sign receipt" was confusing and had two totals. One for the total cost and the other for the amount owed.
I CROSSED OUT the tip line since it was a pickup order and filled in the total amount at the bottom. Instead of notifying me of my mistake the cashier decided to give himself a $40.00 tip on a $53 dollar order and I got hit with the total amount.
I called to complain and was told that they could give me cash or credit my customer account. I should have gone with cash but would have had to drive in to get it (I'm a ways out) and I shop there anyway I figured "meh why not, I'm gonna order pizza again at some point"
I couple months later I decide to order and am told they have no idea what I'm talking about. No record, there's nothing I can do. The best part is I can hear the guy who lied to me about crediting my account in the background.
So now I'm attempting to cancel a transaction that happened 90 days ago. I'm out $40.00 and if I had just gone through my bank and done a charge back in the first place I...
Read moreMy wife and I tried a carryout order from here, primarily due to a T-Mobile Tuesday promotion for 10% cash back at certain restaurants, including this one.
We ordered the New York Deli (10") and an 8-piece BBQ wings.
Disclosure: The best I can do is compare this to Domino's since we don't order pizza from other places all that often.
I would say there is less dough, which is good in my opinion, and way more meat than Domino's. My wife made the comment that it seemed more "doughy," as in it was more fluffy. The wings were adequate size, unlike Domino's wings, which are quite small now. The flavor of each was above par, and we would recommend both the New York Deli and the wings.
Price wise - You can get quite a bit more of food from Domino's. At Domino's, a LARGE (14") MeatZZa (with a common coupon) and an 8-piece wing comes out to $27.90 after tax (carryout).
The price at Sapino's came out to be $30.04 after tax (carryout) for the SMALL (10") New York Deli and the 8-piece wings.
To conclude, if you're looking for quality food with more meat to dough, I would lean towards Saprino's. If you're looking for the "best-bang-for-your-buck," I would say Domino's has a much better deal. We are unlikely to choose this place over...
