Had a Weird experience here. One of our party wasn't happy with her dish. She thought it was dry & asked for some butter or oil to moisten it up to make it more enjoyable. The waiter had the owner come over. The owner insisted that's how the dish is prepared. The Customer acknowledged him and then said it's dry and she would like HELP making it more enjoyable for her. The owner took a fork and then a LARGE fork full right off her plate and then walked away. He never came back to help or adjust the meal as requested. They didn't make any adjustments on the bill. Didn't offer a courtesy desert. The Owner Ignored our table from that point on. Now I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and others in our party liked their meals. The Service / Wait staff were excellent. The discoutious response from the owner turned what was an enjoyable meal sour. The woman who the resturant owner HELP him self to a rather Large sampling w/o asking then indignantly walked away received that gesture as an arrogant insult!. She was upset which ruined the rest of the parties enjoyment at Gregorio's. If it wasn't for the above experience I Would highly recommend Gregorio's. BUT after what we experienced there are so many other Great resturants I doubt we'll be back soon to Gregorio's. It's a shame! Staff...
Read moreThis was my first time ordering from Gregorio's, and I already made a reservation to dine in for later this week to try another dish. I've been searching Google maps for restaurants after work and slowly eating my way through Madison, Chatham, and Florham Park for the past year. The salad was good enough that I actually wish they had a dinner portion that I could order with fish and just make it a meal. The rigatoni had a great balance of the amount of pasta, sausage, and sauce, which has been difficult for me to find since restaurants started cutting back on ingredients since the pandemic to reduce costs. The fact that the taste was delicious was icing on the cake. I think I'll be going for the risotto when I dine in...
Read moreMy wife and I had dinner on a Tuesday night. There were quite a few people.
She had a salmon dish and I had the chicken Gregorio. Both were delicious. The meatball appetizer was very good as were the biscotti for dessert. The flowerless chocolate cake was tasty, but not the best we've had.
Our server Therese was wonderful. Very friendly and efficient, and accommodating of substitutions. The restaurant has a nice cozy atmosphere, and is also a BYOB.
This is a nice place for causal dining, but not somewhere you would go for a special occasion or a romantic dinner. But we would certainly return. Prices are reasonable, portion size is good, service was superb, and the food was very good.
Note: There are lots of chicken, fish, and pasta dishes, but not a single veal dish...
