What a wonderful family owned business. I had the pleasure to dine here with my family this weekend and it was just so lovely. They have a great reservation system, quick text to you, so we could wait in the care with the family. We were seated right by the cashier, while I thought that would be a disaster, it was actually very pleasant and gave us a chance to chance with Karen the owner. She was lovely and was very engaging. What a wonderful host she was. We dined on breakfast and lunch. Falafel Burger w. Sweet Potato Fries - Really big and filling, needed a bit more of the sauce so it didn't taste dry. The fries were amazing. Good size and super tasty, not dry at all. DO NOT CHANGE A THING. :-) Brioche French Toast - Quantity was fantastic and tasted so delicious and very filling our soon is very picky but he absolutely love this. Cinnamon Bun Pancakes with Home fries: This was delicious though I should have short stacked them. It wasn't too sweet which is what my expectation was and the home fries with their seasoning was just delicious. I also had scrambled egg with cheese it was very fluffy. My wife is the only one I know that makes it fluffy so this was amazing. Overall the experience was amazing. The only issue we had and why I gave a 4 out of 5 was the lack of non-pork options on the menu. It would serve them well to have turkey bacon or sausage on the menu. Overall the experience was amazing and we will be back again. Thank you Karen.

The bottom line? Sorriso Kitchen has it all -- great (farm fresh) food, good service, nice ambiance, and a truly wonderful story. I think Sorriso's will be a welcome addition to the Chatham community. To help fund opening the restaurant, a Kickstarter was set up (and completed). Meaning this restaurant is truly family owned and community funded. The menu has a variety of options, which should please anyone. My wife is vegetarian and had no issues finding many options (too many, actually!) Everything we tried was delicious. I'd say a breakfast/coffee will run you $15 or so. Pretty normal for a nice breakfast. Service is wonderful -- I had an issue with my dish, which was caught by the server before I had a chance to say anything. Things were rectified immediately. The staff is very friendly and accommodating! Where this place truly stands out is its mission to be inclusive of children/adults with developmental disabilities, inspired by the owner's son, LJ. They close once a week to provide community training for adults with disabilities. If you've made it this far in my review, I hope you're waiting for your table at Sorriso's -- you won't regret it!

Frequented here with my partner, all was well until one day one of our meals came undercooked. Management handled it very poorly, cleared our plates from the table (without checking if we were done) and brought out the bill (without asking if we’d like anything else). We were kicked out “nicely “ instead of just having the meal re-done and cooked well . No 2nd attempt made to fix the meal.

Response to Karen: Your response is based on second hand information as you were not a party to what transpired. We would not have initiated a negative review if the owner had chosen to provide good customer service instead of choosing to create a horrible customer experience via the following series of events. So I will relay what happened. I was the person who was there with Esira. We ordered the chef’s Hash which is a dish we frequently order when we visit your restaurant and an entree that is always good. In addition we made a request via our server for a waffle and she politely informed us that the waffle could only be purchased as part of the special. I told her it was okay to charge us for the special, but to, however, ask the chef not to place anything on it and that we were okay with paying full piece for the special that would essentially only be the waffle. So we agreed to pay over $12.00 for a waffle. We then observed the waitress explaining to the chef our request and he appeared to be annoyed. The waitress had already warned us that the chef would not be inclined to serve the waffle by itself regardless of us agreeing to pay for the entire entree. However, she agreed to try. Upon receiving our entrees, the chef’s hash was good as usual, however, the waffle was undercooked. We alerted the waitress to this issue and someone instead of her came over to our table. I am assuming this is the owner you are referring to. He came over and we said the waffle was undercook, would it possible to provide us with a new waffle? He said he did not want to do so because he may be in a position of providing multiple waffles to satisfy us. I told him that he had not provide a second waffle so his suggestion that we would not be satisfied had not been determined. He said his preference was to not provide us with a second freshly prepared waffle and he did ask us if we wanted something else instead of a waffle. We told him, we did not and he responded again that he did not wish to provide the second waffle and would prefer to stop making waffles and he said he would remove the waffle from our check. He never said the waffle machine was damaged. We were then given our check as the table was cleared (without being done finishing the hash) , so we essentially paid $32.07 for a meal that had a bite of and we left a $10.00 tip because it is the right thing to do and the server was of course not at fault.

Good customer service begins by establishing a culture of good service and treating your customers with respect. I am sure thy given our history with your establishment, the waffle special would have been a good entree for someone, however, we only wanted a waffle and agreed to pay more than $12.00 for it. Our decision to request only a well cooked waffle created such an issue for your organization that it led to poor customer service and now these back and forth comments. The owner NEVER apologized to us at ANYTIME during our visit. It is unfortunate that we have arrived at this juncture.

We are supporters of small businesses and we have been a frequent customer to your restaurant amongst I am sure many others who are. We do, however, care about good customer service. So we will not be returning to...

Just leaving because I found hairs in two different dishes. It was bad enough that it was in the maple bacon but I bite into my breakfast sandwich and pulled hair out of my mouth. Worst part is neither the manager or owner came over and we were still charged for coffee. Disgusting.

RESPONSE TO OWNER: The hair in the maple bacon was short and black. The hair that was inside of the sandwich was longer and blonde- neither my husband nor I have blonde hair. That is more than enough to be upset about. Why would I want more of that food? Neither yourself nor a manager came over to us. A manager did come over to slam the check down on the table immediately after the server took the sandwich away. I have been to this establishment more than once I never received a check so quickly. Of course I am upset for being charged for anything after this terrible experience where neither ownership or management came over to speak to us. Now, when we came outside I did not shout any expletives at anyone and how dare you outright lie about that in your response. I said it was disgusting and the owner was denying that there were hairs in the food despite the hairs dangling from the food!!! Instead, the owner started yelling at us that this was a "family owned business." That has nothing to do with poor health and safety and an even poorer response. You should have come over to us right after the incident. It is just poor hospitality/customer service on your part. You cannot waive the small business flag any time bad things happen. Bottom line- something went wrong in your kitchen and you should have taken responsibility instead of taking an attitude as we...

Excellently prepared, and tasting dishes. The staff is super nice and they obviously care about what they serve. We went for brunch and ended up hitting the peak hour so we waited about an hour for a table, but it was well worth the wait. The inside is beautifully put together and is nice and cozy. I highly recommend this place, particularly for brunch. This is a sought after place, and it shows in the quality that they serve Update February 2025: Wait times, particularly for larger groups can still be a challenge, but worth the wait. Staff are still awesome and food is still good. Great brunch/lunch spot Update July 2022: This can be a very busy place, particularly for Sunday brunch, plan on an average wait time of 20-40 minutes at peak times, come early or later to avoid the rush, but they may be out of items the later in the brunch hour. The staff here are fantastic, always love chatting with the owners, so friendly! Update October 2022: Apparently a few months back they got their old chef back and he has definitely changed up many items on the menu, but I have to say, I'm sad the previous chef left. I used to always look forward to ordering the Maple Bacon Beauties, but that dish was changed up and i really don't like it anymore. There just something lacking on many items over the past few months, and I'm a bit bummed. Overall it's still a nice brunch spot, but it seems to have lost it's best touches on the dishes, so I've downgraded the star...
