Scoops — Restaurant in Chatham

The worker accidentally gave me regular blueberry instead of blueberry cheesecake, no big deal. But when I tried the cheesecake one, it tasted like plain vanilla with no blueberry flavor at all. Since the original scoop hadn't been tossed yet, I politely asked if I could keep it instead, considering they were likely throwing it out.

What looked like the manger stepped up and said "that's a bummer!" With a crazy look in his face and very passive aggressively asked "Did you pay for both??" I explained again, but he repeated, “That’s why we have tasters,” in the same snarky way. Before I could respond, he said, “You know what? Fine, give me that,” tossed out the cheesecake scoop, and dropped the blueberry one in front of me, then he started huffing and puffing away like I was the biggest inconvenience.

The worker even looked at me with sympathy and shrugged, like saying "Im sorry we don't understand his behavior either" It was a $3 scoop, and I left feeling unwelcome and disrespected, not because of being told no, but because of the rude tone and body language. And if the manager was just going to throw it out anyway, what was the point of making me feel so horrible over something so minor? I still tipped the worker and genuinely feel bad for the team that has to work with...

Went here last night with my wife and mother-in-law. The ice cream is delicious. The staff is nice. Service is fast. Prices are not cheap, but not too expensive, either. So they have all of the important things.

Execution needs a little work. I got a special blend milkshake. It was very good. But it was very runny (runny milkshakes are not very appetizing to me and taste more like thick milk) and the pieces inside were not broken up at all. I couldn't drink the shake because it was chunky with fillings and too runny.

My wife got two flavors (two scoops) and they were very good.

Mind you, we visited on day 3 after opening. So they're still working out the kinks!

We recently had the Scoops Bus for our son's 5th birthday party and it was awesome. The two attendants went above and beyond in their patience and interaction with the enthusiastic 5-and-under crowd, making the experience truly special for our birthday boy and his friends.
