Chatham Bagels — Restaurant in Chatham

I frequented this place when they first opened. The most delicious bagels! However, I pre-ordered recently. Two days in advance. Ordered a dozen. Wanted to make sure I got my salt, and that my daughter got her egg-everything. I understand that there are so many things to fret about these days. Having said that......I went to pick up my order and it wasn't ready. No problem. But I saw the woman (owner) putting in a bunch of plain bagels. I explained what I had ordered. She looked at me, annoyed, and said "we are out of salt an egg-everything. So what she did was put 8 bagels in my bag that I did not want. And she was annoyed that I noticed. I won't go back. I had people in from out of town who wanted their special bagels....not plain bagels. Sounds silly, but...

Plz change the people who’s providing service. Totally trash behavior, people do not go to the store to get shouted or humiliated. Never experienced these behaviors in local store, we go to help them but the people in this store totally do not need any support. I am surprised this type of store still surviving with this pathetic behavior in main st. Chatham, Where legendary stores like Armanios, sandwiches store etc and other store are there. No seats inside and very limited outdoor seating. Street parking only.

Sandwiches are on the expensive side. I can see why they weren't busy on a Saturday morning whereas other bagel places would be swamped.. I ordered a pork roll, egg & cheese which came out to $7.50. Service was fast & sandwich was good, but no napkin included in my to go bag. Bagel is on the softer side with a slight crisp on the outside.
