Vacationing in town and this was near our hotel.
Saturday lunch not too busy. We were greeted at the door and whisked away to a table. The waitress immediately brought a basket of silverware and napkins. TVs everywhere but not turned up. Music was plenty loud. I feel like a Friday or Saturday night could be a bit overwhelming or hard to hold a conversation.
I ordered the Hawaiian chicken sandwich which is described as: Grilled chicken breast basted with teriyaki sauce, topped with Provolone cheese, bacon, and pineapple salsa. Served with mango habanero drizzle and mayo on a fresh baked bun. I ordered the drizzle on the side as I wasn't sure how spicy it was. I dipped my fork tines in it to taste and nearly fell over. It's SPICY!! I didn't use any of it. There was hardly any teriyaki flavor which surprised me. Basically I had a grilled chicken sandwich with bacon, cheese, tomato and some pineapple pieces. Not what I envisioned when I ordered. I did tell the waitress and she said she would let the kitchen know what I said.
I ordered sweet potato with it. I asked for just butter as I thought if there were sugars it was separate. I was incorrect, the butter comes with cinnamon and sugar mixed in it. I just pushed it off to the side. Potato cooked perfectly.
Ordered off of the kid's menu. Junior bacon cheeseburger and fries. Fries were coated and crispy. I saw a plate of onion rings go past and wish I had ordered them, they looked delish. The cheeseburger was just that, cheese and a burger. It looked pre-pattied (frozen) and was akin to or a barely a step up from a McD's hamburger other than the bun was the same as the chicken sandwich. I know most kids don't care so it probably isn't a big deal to some.
Our waitress was nice and as attentive as she could be running all over the restaurant seating area for her tables. My daughter is in a wheelchair and when we left the lady with short (blue?) hair grabbed the door for us and gave us a nice good bye as we left.
If we were in town again for anything I would eat here again, but change up what we ordered. So I gave it a 5 as we are picky on what we like an the quality we like but the other aspects made up for not making...
Read moreNewly opened restaurant in Chattanooga, which means a lot of people are eager to give it a try. We arrived around 6:30 pm on a Friday evening and had a 45 minute wait for a table; if you have a seating preference (booth, low top table, etc) let them know when getting on the wait list. Seating in the indoor waiting area is very limited; no more than 10-15 seats so be prepared to wait on benches outside, in your car, or standing about.
This restaurant was previously a Texas Roadhouse, and the changes have greatly improved the dining experience; carpeting helps lessen the overall noise, music is not blaring, TVs tuned to various sporting events are on mute...you can actually have a nice and peaceful conversation at your table with your dinner guests! Nice!!
Menu is mostly chicken sandwiches, chicken wings, and burgers; also offers a good selection of starters and salads.
Portions are HUGE! Burgers were yummy and served with a pile of tasty fries. Wings seemed to be baked, not fried. The pretzels and beer cheese appetizer was a favorite, the fried jalapeno chips seemed house made, as were the onion rings (we dug in for a few before I remembered to take a photo). Though not shown on the menu, the do offer vegetarian burgers (3 bean patty....housemate, or so it seemed) which was very tasty. We shared the brownie sundae which was incredibly delicious...warm brownie covered in vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and chocolate syrup. We were curious to try a few starters and burgers and grossly over ordered; a shared appetizers for the table and burger/sandwich with fries will be plenty, even for the heartiest of appetites.
Service was pleasant and attentive; cheers to Jennifer for helping to make our visit enjoyable. I would suggest withholding placing orders for entrees if you are having starters. Don't expect anything special for birthday acknowledgements here...no special song nor...
Read moreFirst off if I could give Sarah 10 stars I would. She was so nice and attentive despite the restaurant being short staffed. We already had an unpleasant interaction with a waitress as we were being seated.... We asked for a booth instead of a 6 top table and the server was rather snarky. We were afraid this was how the night was going to go but Sarah was fabulous. When our food came out that was another story.... Tonya brought the food to the table in a rush started calling out the food and just setting stuff down. She dropped a plate in front of my husband then tried to hand him his food, when he said hang on slow down so we can get the food to the right people she got huffy. I put my hands out to take my plate and she literally shoved it in my hands to the point I almost dropped it. Apparently she started making smart comments so my husband could hear but would not respond when we tried to find out if there was an issue. Sarah was very apologetic for the interaction as she caught the tail end when she was coming to check on us. We eat here often and I always get the same thing but this time it wasn't the same. My wrap was overly greasy, the bottom was coated with grease and it dripped. No cheese and all the onions were piled up at the bottom of one end of the wrap. It was a disappointment, hopefully it was a fluke. Honestly after that interaction with Tonya, if we didn't have such a wonderful server we would have left and gone somewhere else. There's really no reason to treat customers in that manner. She obviously didn't want to be there and made sure it was known. I am hoping our next visit will...
