Brown Bag — Restaurant in Chattanooga

Was in the area and decided to try Brown Bag based on the reviews on Google. Ordered the chicken and found it very delicious and tasty, along with the sautêed veggies. What I was unimpressed with was the Jalapeño Corn Casserole. No heat and had a sharp, off-putting flavor. After two bites, I threw it into the trash.

That's fine, I decided to try the Berry Slaw. This one popped off the page and I was excited to try it. I should not have had such high expectations, because this one had a truly odd flavor. I finally decided it was almost as though it was mixed in a freshly bleached bowl that hadn't been properly dried. It picked up hints of the bleach (probably not the actual bleach) and mix that smell with the taste within the berry slaw, it was unappealing. I gave my husband a bite, who is less picky than me, and he also turned up his nose.

While I found the chicken most delicious, the side dishes were less spectacular. Tossed two side dishes into the trash based on flavor. Based on the cost spent and the food eaten, it wasn't a good financial choice for me. I have no plans to return. However, I am glad that I finally did give them a try.

Me and my husband stopped here to eat for lunch a few weeks ago. We ordered our food and waited over 30 minutes. Then, a waitress comes over and says they lost our order. We told her our order again, and asked how much longer we would have to wait. She said, "I'm not sure, because we are busy." Ooook......We had somewhere to be, so we just asked for our money back. This same waitress didn't know how to work the register machine, so she asked for help, and that guy didn't know how to work the register machine, either. However, he finally figured it out, and said that we had been refunded. We were confused that they didn't ask for our card back, but they reassured us we had been refunded. It has been 20 days, and I have not been able to get anyone to answer the phone during business hours. We have still not received a refund. Definitely the worst...

This was our first time visiting and we will be back. The cost is reasonable for what you get. The atmosphere is modern yet serene. I ordered the fish tacos with veggies and watermelon salad. My daughter initially ordered the steak sandwich with the berry slaw and asparagus. She didn't care for the sandwich but she doesn't like horseradish and chose to try anyway. She ended up getting the fish tacos in exchange. The associated are super friendly and helpful. The menu also offers options for bulk ordering and catering. The only down side I can see so far is they are only open for lunch. Can hardly wait to try the next entreé. We...
