Our first visit here was AMAZING. They'd only been open a week or so. The lady was beyond nice and talked us through her favorites and whatnot. We were getting a few to-go for our kids.. She was soo helpful with getting us cups with lids and straws bc she said "they'll melt a bit, and I don't want y'all getting the car messy." Well. This was our second visit and I'll just say the whole vibe was very.. different. We did drive thru this time and it was a mess. Not at any fault of the workers. It was a lady who was just sitting at the menu and taking about 10 minutes to look at flavors. Eventually the line was wrapped around the building almost to the window. Maybe post a sign that those particular folks should use the pavilion to order? But also, the young blonde working the window could be a tad nicer. She wasn't necessarily rude at first. Just not what I'd call friendly. Until I asked about the "to-go cups" we had last time. I said "Last time we came, y'all put them in a cup with lids? Can we do that again?" She said "We've never done that." I said "Oh ok. Y'all used to but that's fine." And I was about to order when she's like "Well not at this location. We have 3." Like, I waited 15 minutes to order just to be gaslit by a 16 year old. Heaven forbid you ask the difference in the large and regular sized. Maybe show pics or have sizes in ounces on the menu. So we don't need to "bother" the workers. If it's there and I missed it, I apologize. But as she's making our snow balls, I see a sign at the window that says you can do a "no ball" style which is basically a bigger cup and everything is level inside. As in, not overflowing the cup and therefore messy. I'm just confused at why that was so hard to do when I asked lol. And she kept rolling her eyes to the other girl like I was just being so illogical to ask such a thing. After seeing the sign, she's handing us the cups and I felt no issues with being rude right back at this point. I said "also, I knew I wasn't crazy.. see the sign that says you can literally put them in a bigger cup? For free even. I bet I could even get a lid and straw like I asked, too, but it's fine. Thank you." And she, of course, just looked at me like I'm an idiot. It was just an odd experience. But at least the snowballs were...
Read moreThe snow cones were amazing , but I had to wait at the window ( we walked up ). He had to wave to one lady who shrugged her shoulders and walked away inside. Knocked on the window, and another girl looked annoyed and then pointed to her coworker . Then, I had to knock on the window a third time before it took an additional 5 minutes for them to walk up . She opened the window and said, "Yes ? " and gave her our order . When it was ready, she opened the other window, yelled out what we got, and immediately shut it . The people before us had to knock on the pick-up window to get them to open. I had to warn the people after us that It would take a minute to get an order . Granted, it wasn't busy, 2:45 pm on a Sunday. No cars in the drive thru. It's a a good thing the snow cones were good. Otherwise i...
Read moreI recently visited Pelican's SnoBalls and decided to try their Wild Strawberry snoball with added dinosaur gummies. Unfortunately, the experience was underwhelming.
First off, the wild strawberry flavor was overpoweringly strong. Instead of a refreshing treat, it felt like I was just consuming syrup. The addition of dinosaur gummies seemed like a fun idea, but for the extra charge, I expected more than just two gummies - definitely not worth the cost.
Moreover, the ice in the snoball melted far too quickly, turning what should be a delightful summer treat into a sugary mess in a matter of minutes. Given the quality and the price, I can't recommend Pelican's SnoBalls. It's unlikely I'll be returning for...
