Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Chattanooga

Extremely displeased... Started off with the guy taking our orders. We were placing a split order. When asking what we wanted for our first order, my spouse has to repeat himself several times. The guy acted like taking our order was an issue. Then when placing the second order it happened again when he asked what drink. My spouse had to repeat himself 3 times.. The person taking our order even ignored ME when I tried to speak up to correct what I saw on the screen for my personal portion of our first order.. we then were only able to pay for our second order on the screen. While waiting, the guy who guy who took our order could be seen at the drivethru window acting like he was overwhelmed and was showing this with his body language and the way he dealt with the drivethru costumers.. Next, we sat there waiting for our order to come out for nearly 10 minutes, and they only brought the second order out to our car. The girl who brought our food out had to go back in and get our first order. When she brought it out, I proceeded to check out the food. The fries were half cold like they say for awhile. Our burgers also were missing tomatoes which we had to point out. Instead of taking our food back in and correcting the mistake, they just had someone bring out the tomatoes in a burger wrapping. By the time all was said and done and we back to our room to eat, our burgers were overcooked and the meat was dry. We chose to go to Sonic instead of McDonald's because we wanted better quality. We paid over $18 for food we had to finish preparing ourselves. I guess I should have gone some place else......... Definitely not what we...

I tried to order at the curb and after waiting several minutes I and the two vehicles that had parked in the next spaces were told that they were only doing drive through. When I came through the drive through lane I waited at the order station without being acknowledged until all the people in line in front of me were served and had pulled into the street. I watched four vehicles receive food at the curb on trays and two carhops stood next to a car talking with the occupants for the whole time I was sitting at the order station as well as the time it took for me to pull forward and order at the window and wait for my order to be handed out. I asked if they didn’t serve people on motorcycles and why I wasn’t able to get service like these people at the curb and was told they had ordered online. What difference does it make how you order. I don’t have a window to hang the tray on and I don’t have a console to set the food on. I would like to be able to get a hamburger like every one else and eat it, I can’t do that going down the road on a motorcycle and I can’t order online going down the road either. If there was a way to give negative stars on my feedback I would. This is probably the most frustrating food experience of my life and I am not a spring chicken. Update*** I am so impressed that one of the shift managers contacted me for my previous review. I visited the store after our conversation, to order the same and the food was great. The wait was a long, but not as long as my prior visit. ** Sonic is truly a hit and mostly miss, and honestly. Apparently, I’m a glutton for punishment. If my son didn’t love the mozz sticks, I would have never spent another penny at this location. My order was incorrect as usual. I ordered #2 dbl cheeseburger combo w/ tots- no mayo, no onions, and mustard and ketchup but received a single cheeseburger instead with EVERYTHING on it including the onions and mayo. The brunch cheeseburger that was ordered appeared old and hard. Finally the reason I entered this drive thru- which I stayed in the line from order to window 20 minutes: my son’s food- mozz sticks was over cook the poor kid didn’t see any cheese in the sticks- just a hard shell. I’m happy I ordered a wacky pack just in case this sorry service occurred- and unfailing, it did-again (I.e hard corn dog). So after spending $20 and waiting 20 minutes in a drive thru, I will never patronize this restaurant again. I just wanted to finally leave a comment on google maybe a change will occur or someone may care about...
