I find it difficult to articulate how repulsed I am by the service I just received at this restaurant. I'm a doordash driver that showed up to pick up a large order for a customer. Upon arrival the lady at the pickup window said they're still working on the order, took my phone number, and said they'll let me know when it was ready. I was waiting at the bench out front for nearly 30 minutes before a parking space that wasn't clear across the lot opened up and I moved up front. Now it was 40 minutes after my arrival and still not a word about the order. I was in contact with my customer the entire time. Called the restaurant, texted, called again, no answer. When I finally got out of my car in sheer frustration someone, assumably the manager, was walking around on the phone and said he was talking to doordash support since the order had already been picked up. WHAT?! They somehow managed to forget a large two bag take out order being picked up right before I arrived, then told me it was still being prepared, yet didn't bother to say a thing to the guy that gets paid by the job waiting in the parking lot?!? I find it inconceivable that anyone there could be that bad at their job! Then dasher support called me, asked if I wanted to drop the order (so I wouldn't get paid at ALL for my wasted time over the lunch hour!), or if I wanted to complete it after taco mamacita remade the order. I wouldn't stiff my customer like that in the first place. It was just under an hour and a half before they FINALLY brought the order out to me! And all the manager had to offer when I talked to him was excuses, sorry, and the world's tiniest violin. "I don't know what else you want me to do..." This goes beyond unprofessional, past incompetence, and is dancing all over complete and utter disregard for customer satisfaction! The very LEAST he should have done was given a $50 gift card to both me and the customer for wasting both of our precious time. That's the type of job performance that should end in a summary termination. Please, find another Mexican restaurant to patronize after...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWas always curious about this place given it's interesting position nestled in the corner of the Town and Country shopping area. Was disappointed unfortunately, didn't eat food, simply had a Cadillac Margarita(give them credit for knowing what that is), sat at the bar. Upon looking around the logistics, floor layout is not good, an abundance of little partitions separating diners so you can't see other people, not a friendly, homogeneous, all inclusive open air, I mean this is supposed to be a Latin Restaurant, excitement, interaction and networking amongst people. It's a cattle call, in and out, get the$$$. Also noticably absent were any Latin restaurant workers, I saw one, mostly kids working there, not a real restaurant but a place for college age kids to work. Not one of the bartenders said anything, no conversation, to me except to collect my drink order and supply the check, trained simply to pour the drink get the money. I also had to order a double because they don't pour a decent drink, standard pour and no more. I like a nice atmosphere when I go into a restaurant, there is no social cohesion, conductivity, most of the help when not rushing around spend time in little groups talking to themselves rather than giving off a feeling of accomodation towards the customers. But these are not obviously sophisticated diners that care about their dining experience, they are this establishment's bread and butter, shovel their food in get the check and leave, cha ching!!! Disappointing, won't return. Actually went to the coffee shop a few storefronts back, they have a nicely appointed dining area but surprisingly not open for dinner, i was hungry, š until not surprisingly I was informed the owners of the supposed Mexican restaurant own this one also, i suppose they don't want people eating there, competing, when they can draw and snag them into their small town operation masquerading as Mexican place. The only positive aspect was they had a decent selection of tequila, though no El...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAs a former restaurant industry insider, I am very much annoyed when I see a place do something like let the party of 5 that has already been waiting 18 minutes wait another 14 minutes while seating the party of 6 that walked in the door and was added to the app after the party of 5 within 3 minutes of entrance. It would have been different if like the other party of 5 sat ahead of us had been outside, because we specified inside seating, but the party of 6 was sat inside. So you lose a star for that right out the gate.
Once seated, the server took excellent care of us. We had this place recommended to us after my raving over Bollywood Tacos. This place has a good selection of drinks and specialties. My party ran the gamut of menu items and came up with this...
Sloppy Jose taco: worthy and tasty. Avocado taco: worthy, vegetarian and tasty Shrimp Po Boy BLT taco: a little to busy with ingredients, but good Oy Vey taco: heavy on the Pico, but once you remove some the other flavors shine through to a good bite. Brisket Rancheros Enchiladas: good flavor profiles and tenderness on the brisket. General Homeboy: the Scrircha overpowered all the other flavors to the point of making this inedible. Get the mild version unless you just want a hot sauce taco.
Overall, pretty good food, terrible hosting and excellent table service. but compared to Bollywood Tacos or even Agave and Rye, they are not going to be my go to, unless I get a Sloppy Jose craving...which will be a...
