My husband and I have spent thousands at this point on Jeremy’s, dining in and ordering takeout frequently over the last nine months since we relocated to the area. I eat gluten free, and it’s essentially the only place in town and any surrounding areas with this accommodation. Also, the building itself is beautiful, we LOVE the corner bar seating, and the hosts, servers and bartenders are always terrific.
HOWEVER.
We have consistently had something wrong with every single meal. Our burgers are overdone every order and we always order medium. When getting takeout, the fries are never fresh and often lukewarm when the sandwiches have been made fresh, indicating that we’re being served old fries.
We attended the Thanksgiving Banquet and spent about $200 — nearly every single item was lukewarm to full on COLD. According to Jeremy’s marketing of the event, this was the tenth year. It’s shocking that they wouldn’t have worked out this issue with hotter/more/better warming lights by this point. Despite the food still being delicious and service/staff being fantastic and efficient, we ate a cold Thanksgiving dinner. I think that says it all.
Another night when we spent around $200 with dessert and drinks, my husband ordered a ribeye and one edge, about 1.5 inches long, was RAW. He ordered it medium, so pink in the middle is expected. But one side was raw meat. He ended up just cutting off that part because he didn’t want to reorder and have to wait, but that seems a significant oversight for a venue charging fairly high prices and claiming an elevated quality of food and experience.
Recently, I submitted a message through Jeremy’s website, outlining all my experiences, because this seemed to me to be solely a kitchen problem. So perhaps there’s a cook who needs to be worked with more closely. My message was submitted in such a way that I named what needed to be improved because these are substantial problems for a facility whose main business is the food itself, and I would really prefer to be able to continue being a regular patron. I RECEIVED NO REPLY.
Last night my husband and I decided to give Jeremy’s one last try, because we were exhausted and didn’t have the gumption to drive up to Yelm or Olympia for suitable dining. Both of us were served old fries that actually tasted as though they’d been sitting under the fryer for a significant period of time and then rewarmed in the microwave. They were extremely dry and old. We politely asked the server for fresh fries and she brought them, clearly aghast that we even had to ask. We still tipped the server 30 percent as we have every time we’ve dined in. All the servers are stellar.
So I decided to write this review because at this point the consistency of the bad is outweighing the good. When I prepared to begin writing the review, the indeed.com reviews popped up. Apparently, employees are dealing with toxic management AND ownership. This is the consistent message from past employees.
There is a restaurant we’ve recently been frequenting in downtown Olympia that really drove home and highlighted the chasm in service and experience at Jeremy’s. We were actually seated by the owner himself at the other restaurant and received an extremely personalized, perfectly orchestrated, caring, and error free dining experience. Nothing at Jeremy’s has ever come close to that elevated experience, and to now find out that they are mistreating their employees likewise? We will not...
Read more1/5/25 Update - My husband and I were finally able to make it back to Jeremy's Farm to Table after many years away. We were VERY impressed by the changes that we experienced with our late lunch / early dinner this afternoon. The service was much more attentive from the host to the server and the food came out so fast I could hardly believe we were eating already! The food is very high quality, gave us (including our two children) food highs and left us extremely satisfied and wishing we could eat more. Prices were a bit on the high side but the quality definitely makes up for the big price tag. Since our son and I have weird food allergies, it was refreshing to walk into a place that basically said "we got you covered" and everyone was able to order from the menu with minimal changes. We all are looking forward to coming back as soon as possible, hopefully to sample your breakfast menu! Thank you for the wonderful meal and for all of your obvious improvements!!
Older 4 star review - I really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere at Jeremy's. My husband and I ate dinner here, then lunch two days later, while we were vacationing in this area. It's an old building right next to train tracks and they have a local organic market attached. It's cool because when the trains go by you can hear them and feel them shaking the ground a little. I'm rating 4 stars because of the attention of the servers on both occasions: For dinner, we were seated right away in the bar and it didn't seem too busy. We saw two servers tending tables and the host was nice but didn't offer/bring water. We sat for 10-15 minutes watching everyone else get service without even being greeted by a server. Finally, my husband went to the host stand and asked which server was supposed to be helping us. At about the same time we were finally greeted. Our server apologized and we found out she had 3-5 tables sat at the same time. I totally get it but it would have been nice to at least know that she was the only one taking tables and it would be a wait. She bumped our food up and it was delicious. For lunch we were told it would be about a 5 minute wait to get a table and it took about 10 minutes. No big deal, but then the same thing happened! The host brought us waters this time but then we had no idea who our server was for about 10 minutes! Again, he was really friendly (although forgetful) and he got us our food and was very pleasant. On a side note, the size of the salads is waaaay too big. Could you consider a lunch size portion? Overall, my husband and I really enjoyed our meals here and are planning on adding this restaurant to our date night list. Amazing food!!!
Response to Jeremy's reply: Hello Jeremy's! Thanks for inviting feedback! We joined you for dinner in your lounge on October 11th I believe around 7pm. I had fish and my husband had steak. We had lunch with you on October 14th around 1pm. I had a salad and my husband had a...

But... We came because reviews indicated this is a great place. But this was just an "okay experience" for some of us and disappointing for others (we had a group of 6 people). Maybe before the pandemic it really was a great place. I know all restaurants are struggling with capacity. So I want to acknowledge that. But consumers are also dealing with budget cuts and raised expenses, so when we DO go out to eat, we hope for a great experience. I can't say it was, for me personally.
The menu has some miscommunications on it which ended up costing us money and extra food that went uneaten. $$$ That was frustrating because I felt like our conversation as we were ordering our food made it pretty clear we didn't know potatoes came with our meals. It doesn't say it on the menu! Ugh!
My grandmother ordered a biscuit after she asked if they had honey (because she wanted honey and butter on her biscuit). Verbally mentioning it didn't inspire the server to double check honey was available or then later offer extra jam or something when she brought it out and said that was all they had. :( What was left of the honey was barely enough to cover a couple bites of her biscuit. There was a tiny/tiny little container of some sort of sad jelly. Ugh.
Unfortunately, all our potatoes tasted very "fishy" as if the oil used for the potatoes was the same oil they deep fry the fish and chips in.... I honestly don't know, but it was pretty strong. No one finished their potatoes, despite the fact we ordered extra because the menu didn't mention that potatoes came with the Benedicts. Ugh.
Oh, and be aware the Smoked Char Benedict doesn't include a piece of fish, it's more like tiny bits and pieces of fish. It was fine. It tasted good to me but the other person who ordered it said it was WAY too smoky for her liking. The sauce was delicious and eggs were poached perfectly.
Another person in our group liked his soup a lot (mushroom), but he said the sandwich (pesto something...) was a little bland.
In the end, we said we may want to give it one more try because we liked the atmosphere. But, personally, I won't be suggesting we meet here again. So... we'll...
