The theater was clean and spacious and the facility was great. The "Murder Mystery Night" performance was downright awful. Worst performance I've ever seen without question. Plot was almost nonexistent, yet full of holes somehow. A costume contest awkwardly boiled down to three contestants who were offered prizes at the end of the show (which they forgot to give out). Ordered 2 hotdogs and it took an hour and a half for them to be ready. 80% of the show was intermission - some with a blank theater screen and an audible buzzing from the p.a. and some with vintage Chaplin and also random 20's theme footage, while the actors tried to engage individuals in the crowd involving the murder. They kept stopping the Chaplin film at very random moments to continue the act briefly before awkwardly exiting the stage again. The climactic moment was when everyone suddenly realized the show had ended as the actors thanked the crowd and took a bow, followed by the crowd demanding a well earned encore - the last 6 minutes of the Chaplin film be concluded before we went about our Friday night. It felt for a few moments as if they were going to leave Chaplin out to dry - paused there in history and in time as half the audience made...
Read moreWell dinner here was an interesting experience. The service was odd, but whatever…it’s the food that I found to be more off putting. To be fair, I originate from an area with a lot of great food options, and so I feel my palate is much more developed than the average LC resident. Sorry, not sorry.
First they bring out some WHITE bread, I mean, like Franz-quality French bread, served with an oil/balsamic mixture that’s nothing special, so strike one. I ordered the halibut, which was bland, the risotto which was basically cheese (way, way too much), with risotto rice and mushrooms. Additionally, I ordered the arugula salad that had a bunch of sweet stuff (fruits) with butternut squash cubes(?!?), a scant amount of pepitas and feta which was drowned in a super sweet dressing. Every single dish was just disappointing.
Ugh. I’m so sorry that the only supposed “nice” restaurant in the area lacks any...
Read moreThe Taste of Morocco special fine dining event was spectacular! Everything was plated beautifully, cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. The service was wonderful - attentive and well timed. We truly enjoyed this experience and will definitely look forward to the next one!
On another note, my husband and I tried the restaurant back in December and were very disappointed in the food. I was a little nervous to try this special event but was very intrigued by the menu and thought watching Casablanca at the same time would be fun. It was also our anniversary so we really hoped it would be good. We were both so pleased with each dish. The scallop appetizer and the lemon cream pasta were my favorite! Then the dessert absolutely knocked it out of the park. Thank you for helping make a wonderful memory for us! I'm thrilled to have a true fine dining experience...
