Market Street Bakery & Cafe — Restaurant in Chehalis

Except for my experience today I would have given this place a 5. Today when I walked in there was a lady walking towards me (that worked there) didn’t acknowledge me and looked very angry the whole time I was there. When I I got up to the register the lady was helping her boyfriend with his order. This lady did not acknowledge me either said to her boyfriend she was going on a break soon. Went quickly in the back and didn’t say anything to me for example there will be someone to u in a minute or so on and so forth. I don’t know if she even told the people in the back there was a customer. After a while a young man came out and he was awesome. I was acknowledged and told I will be with you in a minute. I then asked if there was someone in the back that could help me since I was only picking up a cheesecake and it was already paid for. I could not believe the service cuz usually it is the opposite. I hope the manager is going to read this cuz I think she needs to know. I tried calling but there was no answer. My husband and I go there a lot so I am hoping it won’t happen...

My absolute go-to for anything involving most baked goods.

Probably the best cookies in the area and they are pretty decently sized. I always grab some of their Snickerdoodle and Peanut Butter cookies, their cheesecakes are absolutely amazing and they have these little triangle-like chocolate covered ones they make every now and then that are insanely addictive. The shop itself is super adorable and I love the overall aesthetic of the place. Their coffee is also pretty solid. Got a gingerbread latte and it was honestly not that bad, would definitely get another one when I sit inside again. Their italian sodas are good too. I have yet to get their bread, but I REALLY want to.

It's truly a five star family owned bakery. Beautiful Icelandic pastries and crossiants. Amazing daily breads and special holiday breads for Easter and Christmas. They make four incredible quiches, bread pudding and specialty desserts in perfectly sized pieces to enjoy with coffee or tea. Daily soups, sandwiches and salads freshly perpared. Staff are friendly, cheerful and very efficient. This delightful bakery is worth the quick drive off 1-5 in the center of an amazing lil town, Chehalis. Stop once and it will become a destination whether you live near by or drive through regularly to Seattle...
