It was my 1st time at this location ,but my 3rd time at Tommy's Tavern and the wait was not long at all. I walked in and was greeted very warmly by the host. I was going to be seated at an open table and then quickly requested a booth and was granted a booth towards the back . The atmosphere was full of Phillies fans, and the hustle and flow of the servers and the guests were all in alignment.
THIS IS A PLACE OF HAPPINESS 😊
Aniya was my server, and she was so patient and understanding when trying to choose on my entree . She was very knowledgeable of the menu and offered her honest opinion on the different items I had suggested. She was attentive and brought me another beverage without even me having to ask ! I like how she connects vs just making it " transactional " as an experience.
I had initially come here for just dessert, but then I saw the Mediterranean platter .
Adam, the manager, came by my table, and we were able to talk . He shared how you can literally " just close your eyes 👀 and point 👉 and whatever you land on ,you will 100% enjoy !
Everything is made fresh from scratch. The sushi 🍣 comes fresh each day, and there's a sushi station near the kitchen 😋 that can make traditional and signature rolls . Poke is also available and sashimi.
I like how the workers in the kitchen who prep the plates , are wearing gloves and from where I was sitting , I could see some of them discard gloves between picking up plates and adding new gloves on.
Adam really manages his team with concern and multi tasks between managing a party and helping the hosts and servers get what's needed to the guests.
DANIELA also came to stop by and appreciated me coming here tonight . She was so very warm and funny and also confirmed that even for the most pickiest eater ,there is something delicious your family can find to eat. The menu is broad and extensive ! I really like how they make you feel comfortable eveb if dining solo.
Can I tell you about this Mediterranean dish?? I've never had hummus this fresh and flavorful! It comes with #garlic and #roasted red pepper 🌶 hummus . The #tabbouleh salad is amazing 👏 on my tongue, and the #Naan bread is a great compliment to dip 😋 with over and over .
For someone who had stopped ✋️ eating hummus ( since 2011) ,because of the lack of flavor I was running into from other brands ,let me tell you -- this is top notch 👌.
The celery and carrots on the side add a nice fresh touch to the taste buds.
This was a great small plate meal, and I will even have leftovers 😋. Danels suggested to add grill chicken 🐔 😋 and make it a full entree .😄
Tommy's is a great atmosphere, and , I came here solo, to celebrate 10 years #cancerfree and so glad I did ! 5 stars across the board ✨️
I had a little room for dessert, 😁and tried Aunt Jacqui's bread pudding to review, I substituted the ice cream for the salted Carmel Gelato. *NOTE IF YOU ARE LACTOSE INTOLERANT DO NOT TRY THE GELATO!! I should have simply gotten the bread pudding. I was so ill once I got 🏡 " Does not take away from the review - just...
Read moreSo, I've been to the Cherry Hill and the Mt. Laurel triple T's a few times now, and it's one of my favorite places in the area. Everything we ordered was tasty: the beet salad, burgers, the sesame crusted grilled Ahi tuna salad, and my 2 favorites, the taquitos and the chicken wings (more on these later). There isn't one item between them my companions and I wouldn't order again because they were all very good. However, the beet salad, which was one of the prettiest plates, was a bit skimpy for the price. When I saw it on the menu, I thought it would be a plate of mostly beets laid out on top of other stuff, but it was the opposite; mostly other stuff like mixed greens goats cheese, pecans, and then a few paper thin slices of red and yellow beets on the sides. I guess beets are still a superfood, so that's why the salad is so pricey (insert a quick shoulder shrug here).
One other funny thing about the menu in general is how large it is; it includes items from so many, maybe too many, different categories on it. How many general restaurant-bars do you know that offer a sushi menu, American fare, Italian style fare, random Tex-Mex, other Asian-style foods, and some random items all on one menu? Oddly, there are way more food choices than there are beers on tap. Speaking of beer, I visited the location in Mt. Laurel not long after it opened (over 2 years ago), and thought it had an okay selection of draft beers that would probably be different in future visits. However, when I first visited the Cherry Hill location sometime later, it seemed to have the same or mostly the same choices on tap. As someone else mentioned here, that is surprising for a place that has "tap" in the name, and frankly we have a very nice selection of local brews in SJ that would be nice to see in rotation.
Anyway, I'm not here to rag on the place because I enjoy it-its a lot better than most places of this sort. It's fun; the staff are attentive and friendly and very good with the upsell, which is fun to go back and forth on to see who wins. If there's a real negative there, it's the very loud music, It's hard to hear anything but the music at times. Reminds me of a 90's style rave party! Too bad there's no room for a dance floor!
Update: previously, I recommended the wings. At that time they were some of the best wings in the area; medium-sized, oven baked with a dry rub seasoning, served with roasted red onion, a long hot pepper, and a choice of sauces. Lately, they've been inconsistent; sometimes under cooked, sometimes gigantic and tough, with a long wait time after ordering. That said, I would still give them a try but ask about size and order them well done so they're cooked through and crispy.
Go there, try it out. Maybe go for happy hour to save a bit of money-just make sure to sit at the bar. Oh, and if you want to try a delicious mixed drink, order the Paper Plane. It's a lovely, strong Aperol-based...

We went there for the first time tonight after shopping at Wegman's. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly and waited less than 2 minutes for a table.
Once seated, our server, Kevin, came over almost immediately. He was friendly, genuine, and had a lovely personality, which made us feel comfortable enough to joke around with him. We ordered our drinks, and they arrived just as quickly. Throughout the evening, Kevin was attentive and professional. At one point, one of the managers, Allen, came by to check on us—a gesture I haven't experienced before and one that really sets the bar high for other establishments. Allen was charming and had a positive aura that made the atmosphere even nicer.
Now, let's talk about the food—it was fantastic! I ordered a Pumpkin Spice Martini, and my husband chose the Blood Orange Manhattan; both were divine. We started with the nachos topped with chicken, and they were incredibly tasty—perfectly stacked with no soggy chips and just the right portion size. We devoured them!
For my main course, I had an arugula salad with blackened chicken, which was not only delicious but also a perfect portion. They offer various styles of chicken—grilled, breaded, blackened, etc. My husband ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with a Caesar salad on the side. Again, it was delicious and appropriately sized; the side Caesar wasn't a small serving but a proper side dish. Our toddler wanted pasta with butter, and they kindly accommodated her request. We just needed to ask for more butter since it was a bit dry, but the pasta was cooked perfectly and not steaming hot, so she could eat it right away.
The prices were very reasonable, and the atmosphere was fun—not too dark, with plenty of televisions around. The restrooms were clean and well-maintained, which is always appreciated, and I loved that there was a full-length mirror. They even have a family restroom complete with a changing station. My husband didn't check the men's bathroom, so I can't speak to whether it has a changing station, but no biggie since they have the family washroom. I also like that we are able to see everything from wherever we were seated.
Overall, I give this place five stars without hesitation. Be sure to ask for Kevin as your server—he's fantastic—and don't forget to say...
